- SLO - Rejected (Their loss)

- SJSU - Rejected (I will appeal)
- USC - Waiting
- CBU - Accepted
I am just waiting for UCSD, UCLA, and UC Berkeley at this point. I don’t care about the others.
1: Temple University
2: Catholic University of America
3. La Salle University
4. Montclair State University (Accepted)
5. Marist College
6. Eastern Nazarene College (Accepted)
I never wanted to go to Marist, not sure why I applied. I did like ENC until I realized it’s too small & an overpriced private.
@JamieH you can only take out a certain amount in loans each year. After that, your parents will have to take out loans- not you.
You can borrow $5500 for freshman year, $6500 for sophomore year, and $7500/year after that, with an undergraduate loan cap of $31,000.
If you need loans that are higher than the ones above, then you may have to attend school 2, as otherwise school 1 is unaffordable. You could also try commuting to a local CC and then transfer to school 1 for the final 2 years if your state has a good CC-4 year university transfer program and if attending school 1 is that important to you. Have you talked to your parents about how much they can actually pay?
My list goes something like:
- Stanford
- Every other school I applied to
Most likely going to end up choosing based on the amount of money I’ll have to pay.
Well my list is probably:
- MIT
- Berkeley
- CMU (I can't really differentiate between those 3)
- U Mich
- Georgia Tech
- UIUC
in at 4,5, and 6
hey guys I just got an award, is it worth sending updates to colleges?
@anon9362 Is it a really big award? At this point most decisions are probably made/about to be made.
A customer at work jabbed me with her finger and yelled at me, because I didn’t understand whatever language she was speaking.
People in my are area are so rude!
@newjerseygirl98 How inconsiderate of you to not know every possible language.
my list is
- UPenn (nursing, got a likely letter!!)
- UCLA
- UCSD
- UCI (nursing)
- JHU
- UCD
- SDSU (nursing, accepted)
- USC
- Cal Poly SLO (accepted)
In no particular order (I think ranking them would be a bit presumptuous of me, not to say that there’s anything wrong with ranking them, I just haven’t. All right, I’m rambling; ignore this)
–University of Florida (accepted)
–JHU
–Stanford
–Harvard
–Yale
–Brown
–University of Miami
–Princeton
–Columbia
I didn’t want to have preferences because I know admissions is part hard work and part chance, but there are just some schools that I love more than others. Here is my list:
- Harvard
- Yale
- Penn
- Columbia
- Brown
- Stanford
- Princeton
- Dartmouth
- Cornell
And the rest are my safety schools. I’d be sooo happy to get into any of my reaches, though!
@kuriosmind what are you applying for?
@Acusio Economics and government/political science or just social sciences in general. You?
@kuriosmind accounting or finance
Random topic but does anyone else feel bad in the social circle? Some of my friends are some of the most popular people in their grades and it’s always a struggle to not feel bad about myself
Also my schools:
UCLA (Regents invite)
UCB (Accepted regent invite)
UCI (Accepted CHP)
UCSB (Accepted Regents)
URochester (Accepted)
UCR (Accepted Regents)
UCSD
UPenn
Colombia
Yale
The wait is killing me…
@t19305 If some of your friends are popular, doesn’t that automatically make you partially popular? Thats how it works at my school. I f you know someone that is popular, you are at least respected in some way.
@kuriosmind well shit you literally applied to every Ivy League school. Where did you find the patience to write all of those application?
I had a friend that was planning to apply to around 16 colleges. He started them all, but ending up only submitting 5 applications.
