@Greninja @vintagejai same lmao i really love bey and your avi
Is anyone taking the Jan SAT??
Is anyone applying for summer programs? This break is basically my time to complete all the essays and applications.
@neoking I applied for one, but the deadline was wayy back in late October. It took me forever to complete the essays because I procrastinated so much
@neoking I’m applying to MITES, I haven’t started my essays yet so I guess I should do that!
@neoking I am!! I’m applying to Simons, Clark, SSP, and an in-state one. I might apply to HSHSP and RSI if I did well enough on my standardized tests (waiting on results) and have the time. I also have my lab research as a back-up.
Time to not think about the SAT and just relax.
Do you think there is anyway I could get into Simons without any research experience?
@Cece0499 I am. I’m devoting a lot of my time during this break to studying for it.
@neoking Same…
@coffeeaddicted Pretty sure you have to get 150% of the questions right on standardized tests to make it into RSI, haha.
@athenanv13 Any chance is better than no chance.
So I just signed up for the Feb. ACT. Now that I think about it, I’m screwed.
The January SAT is going to be so crowded at my school… I know so many juniors who are taking it. It’s actually going to be pretty surreal when SAT vocab is no longer a thing and no-calculator sections are a thing.
So is anyone taking the January SAT? I’m currently scoring between 2100-2200 but want 2300+… Honestly, I have no idea how to cram during break-Any suggestions or advice? :c
Guys both SAT and ACT scores are coming out tonight! So weird!
I just freaked my whole IB class out. Haha.
So we have this group thread, and I just told them we have this 30 page history reading (it’s out of a textbook so it takes a few hours) and a super long packet. Because I’m a good student, they never think I could play a joke on them when it comes to school. I’m always the person they ask if we had homework due the next day. I wonder when I should tell them I’m joking
It’s so funny to read their responses! =)) =)) =)) =))
@ambitiousgeek READ NOTHING. Don’t read the passages. Just skim and scan the hell out of them. Don’t go down the row of questions. Skip around. A lot. Start with the line questions (“In line X…”). Then you do the vocab-related questions. Then you go ahead and do the comprehension-related questions. As for the math, the answer is almost likely C. Try out C first. If C is too high, then it’s either A or B; too low, it’s D or E.
And skip the directions. Don’t read the directions. You’re wasting your time.
@ambitiousgeek I’m taking the January SAT. I’m trying to score above a 1900 on it.
800 on the Latin subject test! I am done with the SAT and SAT subject tests forever! (gosh I hope nothing weird comes up lol)
When you get a 1990 on your SAT…10 points…10 points… cb why??¿¿ :((
