@ambitiousgeek are your scores spaced out evenly?
ayyy got a 1930 on the SAT lol
But i was only trying on the cr andd writing
680 cr
700 w
2090 superscored (710 m, 680 cr, 700 w, 10 essay)
@Cece0499 I feel you, I’m 10 away from 2100
Ive seen so many “ten points away” scores…sigh… Are you retaking in January ? @greeneggsandsam9
I got a 1710. Better than what my PSAT was converted into last year, so improvement! xD
560 CR
520 M (I know, right?)
630 W
I guess I know what my strength is.
I got a 2200 (710 W, 750 M, 740 W), but I have no idea how to improve my writing section because i always get 3-4 questions wrong on practice tests :((
32 ACT - kinda bummed. I was getting 35 consistent on the red book ACT’s but this december one blew me away.
34 E
33 M
28 R
33 S
25 on the ACT, writing has yet to come in
29 E
26 M
23 R
23 S
@Cece0499 Kind of haha… I recently scored 2240 (on a practice test in blue book) but before I was consistently scoring 2100 :v Probably a fluke with the 2200 so I’ll be taking another one soon…
@ambitiousgeek Yeah, flukes happen. I was scoring between 2100 and 2200 on most of my practice tests at home, but on the real test in October, I came out with a 2290. Pretty happy with that lol.
@glassflowers have you been able to identify the types of writing questions you get wrong?
@neoking good job! So you took practice tests from the blue book only right? Was the actual test easier than the practice?
Good job guys ! Aiming for a 2200 in Jan… I have no idea what happened this test ://
@ambitiousgeek Yeah, I only used those practice tests. The real test wasn’t any easier, but I made sure to be on guard for any careless mistakes I could make in both math and writing. Reading, however, is something else, and it really depends on the passages given. The October passages were, for me, easier than tests 5 and 6 from the blue book but a bit harder than 1, 7, and 8 (I know, the order I took them in is weird).
I did an essay every day in the month before the test, so I attribute my 12 score to that. Also, two weeks before the test, I tried doing a reading or math section every day (sometimes in the morning since my evenings were so busy). I can tell you’re very motivated, and keep working hard, you’ll get it in the end.
@neoking haha yes, motivated but also a procrastinator-thanks so much for your reply :^)
@neoking I also had a similar experience. I was getting 2250 at the highest on blue book practice tests but on the real thing I got a 2340. I just made sure to check my answers at the end which helped, as well as the last minute studying that I did.
.
anyone out here who is done with the act?
@wanderlustgal does it count if i never took it/intended to take it?
@wanderlustgal Done with the ACT by December of junior year? No haha. I’m done with SAT though, but only because they’re changing the format.
Meanwhile, I haven’t finished any of my standardized testing yet…Still need to take the ACT (in February) and at least two subject tests (Math Level 2 in January).
