Who else here is taking the February act?
@realtwinkie me
@pseudoprimal they’re usually in the part of the writing section where you have to identify the error
for some reason, on practice tests i usually select a lot of no error’s but on the actual test i only chose one or two
Are any of you guys going to take the new SAT? I scored a 2150 on this SAT and am going to retake in January. I also plan on taking the ACT in February and then probably one more time. Should I even bother with the new SAT? Opinions?
I think you should only take the tests that you need to take. For example, you said you are going to take the SAT again, so if you do really well on that then you shouldn’t even bother with the ACT. And if you do take the ACT and do well on it, then no need to take it again. And if you are already planning to take the old SAT and ACT multiple times, then there’s no need to try the new one. That’d just be a waste of your time.
If you want to take 2 subject tests, can you take them both on the same day? Or must it be different days?
@ZBlue17 You can take up to 3 on the same day.
february ACT hell yaaaaaa what are you all aiming for and what number act will this be for you?
@wanderlustgal It’ll be my first ACT, and I’m hoping for 34+. Haven’t started prepping yet…
@wanderlustgal This will be my second time. I’m really hoping for 34+ and especially 30+ on the science section.
Are you guys planning on doing any rigorous studying over the break?
@Cece0499 I am because I can’t use convergence tests to save my life
February will be ACT #2 for me. 34 first try last October, no prep except one Princeton Review practice test. Hoping for 35 for a scholarship (I would be crazy to retake again if I didn’t have a specific reason)… aiming for one full practice test per week with Red Book and whatever online official ACT tests I can find… using the “obsessively analyze my mistakes so I never make that particular mistake again” tactic. Hoping it pays off.
February will be my first and hopefully only ACT. Aiming for 34+, and I’ll be studying pretty much up until then.
For those who have taken the ACT, what’s it like? I never really planned to take it, but now I’m curious
@SockandBoots the ACT is pretty easy, like it’s easy to improve your score. I like it waaayy more than the SAT (it’s just more relevant to life in my opinion, and a lot less tedious).
I just got my ACT and math 2 subject scores! I got a 35 on the ACT and 800 on math 2. I promised myself I’d apply to RSI if I got these scores, so now I’m most likely applying, but I’m still scared of the likely (certain) disappointment…
@coffeeaddicted Thanks for the information! I guess I’ll take it then. I’m really starting to regret delaying all my testing dates until next year…
Oh and great job on your scores! Good luck with RSI!
@SockandBoots it’s not that late! Most of my friends are just starting to prepare for the ACT and SAT now. And thanks!!
@SockandBoots It was okay. Also, bring some snacks for that break you’re going to get. And there’s nothing wrong with you holding off on your testing. Take it whenever you’re ready to.
I’m taking my 1st ACT in february and hoping for a 34+
