According to Compass, I’m well past my state cutoff, but I still haven’t gotten anything from my school… I’ve asked them and they said they’d keep me informed, but still, nothing. Only another week and I’ll know for sure, I guess.
Also, no Rice waiver, but no subject tests yet either. Have any of you had any communication with Rice before?
I’m actually a little happy about not being a finalist (probably) because it means I don’t have to study for & take the SAT. :-bd
I got the Rice fee waiver! Rice is one of my top choices, so I’m super happy about it.

ah man i’m kinda sad about not getting nmsf (even though i got commended) just because my sat score was more than enough to back up the psat score. i feel like i’m putting too much emphasis on this but at the same time i just feel a little disheartened since i don’t think i have a “hook” like everyone else on cc seems to have xD
I got a 3 on AP Gov and AP Lang so should I even bother listing them on my college apps?
@tigerman333 Honestly, I would. It may not be a 4/5, but at least it shows you won’t bomb in college.
Does anyone have any good resources for AP Physics 1 (algebra based)? I’m really struggling here.
@desideratum Sorry to hear that man. But fortunately, a lot of competitive colleges don’t even care (like I don’t think I’m even going to list NMSF on my app) and if you’re looking for scholarships, most of the places will accept high sat and GPA in lieu of the SF status.

Anybody take the ACT this morning? What’d you all think of the math???
I took it and thought it was awful. I’ve taken 7 practice tests and it was the hardest one I’ve ever taken for sure. Starting to feel like all of the prep was a waste…
@greeneggsandsam9 I’m a math person, so I may not be much help. I thought the math was fairly easy but on the other hand I was crunched for time on reading…
@greeneggsandsam9 I think I did pretty well. Couple of tricky ones and the ellipse one really threw me off.
What did you think of science? I thought it was the easiest one I’ve done yet.
Math was so nice, I didnt get to answer one question and had to estimate for two. Hopefully, my score reflects this lol. I picked (3,1) (3,9) for the ellipse question since i knew foci were arranged along the longest axis of the ellipse 
Science as neat too! I actually had time for fighting scientists haha. Overall, very happy with this ACT. Hope
