I’ve been lurking for several days/weeks worrying about Questbridge. My gosh, my life may change on Thursday because of these people. I have been trying so hard to keep my cool, but it’s not working.
First time posting here.
5/16 schools applied to. Most of my apps aren’t due until about mid january, some the first week.
Trying to decide if I even want to submit my UC apps because I have so many schools. I’d only apply to two.
Besides that app, I don’t have ro submit anything else except for one school due on the first, just in time for a scholarship.
Someone asked about telling people about where you’re applying to.
I’ve mostly told close friends. But today my friend and I were talking to a girl she knows about college apps. Turns out we’re applying to a few of the same schools. So I don’t really tell my peers but if I’m having a convo about college it will come up.
How did everyone do with the UC personal insight questions?
I’m sort of behind, only three finished. They’re taking me longer than expected.

Nov 5th sat scores are out and i’m really happy that I raised my score by 150 points I probably would have gotten higher if my studying stayed consistant but I am definitely not complaining i am however complaining about my essay score my writing score went down by one point and I’m angry because that score wasn’t high to begin with so dropping it makes the score look worse and I know if I had writen this essay in class (we have timed essay were you have to write an essay in 45min) i would have gotten at least a six I call bull on the essay graders for the nov 5th LHS sat.
@CollegeDayDreamer I told my friends I was just applying to 3-4 schools (two safeties, one reach, and Harvard, for fun), but then my parents told me to think realistically, and I had dismissed a few schools that I liked because I thought I didn’t have a chance/didn’t think I’d get any financial aid, so they’re making me reconsider, and then I fell in love with a few schools, and then my family fell in love with a few, so now here I am, applying to 15 schools instead of 4.
I’m also doing the UC application, and to be quite honest with you, I have not even LOOKED at the personal insight questions. It’s due tomorrow night. lol. I’m in the same boat, there are other applications due, and tests coming up, and I’m questioning if the UC app is worth it. Good luck with doing your last question!!
Has anyone toured UCLA? I did Berkeley (meh) and Davis (pretty nice), but we couldn’t afford an extra day to see UCLA’s campus.
@CollegeDayDreamer I’m trying to cut down my list, too… Was applying to like 15, now “only” 12. I’m applying to a lot of reach-ish schools that I think I have a 50-50 chance of being accepted to. I feel like the more I apply to, the greater chance I have of getting into at least one, but I don’t even know if that logic works and it’s so many applications!
Somehow, my list went from a fairly sensible 13 colleges (what a lucky number!) but somehow it jumped up to somewhere in the 20’s… I’m hoping if I get into my planned safety, I’ll be able to whittle down the numbers a lot.
Hello guys! How’s everyone coping with the stress 
I’ve applied to 9/20 already. A few of them are EA and the rest RD.
I am an international student, so what do you think are my chances of getting into any of the top 50 colleges (US News)?? Especially USC, UIUC, UCLA, Berkeley, NYU etc?
Major- Economics (I know. Very competitive)
ACT - 32
SAT - 1480
SAT II- Sucks. Math 1 (690), Literature (620), World History on this Saturday.
GPA - I’m from India. 9.8 CGPA in 9th and 10th. Roughly 85% in 11th and the same in 12th midsems.
Extracurriculars - State level soccer player, school and state team captain, basketball school team captain, lots of community service, and other stuff too (tired typing so much)
Essays - I feel I’m a decent writer. Not too great and not too shabby.
Any help is appreciated 
And feel free to be brutally honest!
P.S - The essays will be the death of me xD They’re taking so much time!!

I think you have a good chance at getting into some of those schools. I suppose you won’t send your SAT II’s? I’m registered to take them this week, but idk if I should show up. I didn’t study much. You can go to the Chance section on CC if you want…
How are you doing so many essays?! I can barely handle mine for 9 schools.

Considering I am an international student, I decided to send my SAT II’s, hoping the colleges will see it as a bad day for me (Naive but oh why not?)

@SetuShah10 Wow, making up the work must’ve been insane…I took of for two and half days to visit colleges and I could barely handle making everything up. But I missed 3 tests - I picked the perfect time to take off lol.
Your SAT II scores aren’t too bad and hopefully your others scores will make up for them

On the other hand, I got a 730 on my math 2. Do you guys think I should submit it to Berkeley because I feel like it will be low compared to everyone else?
Hey does anyone know if CSS profiles have to be submitted before admissions decisions can be made?
@teenstogether123 Financial aid applications (or their completion/incompletion) have no bearing on if you are accepted or rejected by a college. However, if you want to see your financial aid offer, you should complete that by the date the college lists on the website (I also think it lists it on the CSS Profile once you pick the schools).
