(ahhh i still need to study for my physics midterm aaah i need at least a B on it but my latest physics tests…haven’t been that good lol, let alone calc & lit :/)
I have SO MANY long essays to write as finals for my online college classes… It’s less stressful than a test in some ways (no memorization required), but they’re so much work, which adds a different kind of stress!
Got into Vassar College!!! Now on to my next biggest enemy: Senioritis.

Guys, help a guy out…I already sent in my Princeton app and both of my rec letters were from science subjects and i just realized princeton has a requirement to send from two different subject areas! i don’t know what to do! applied RD, btw
@coffee-and-cramming does your guidance counselor send the recs? If so, you can get him/her to call Princeton and correct the recommendations. If not, I’m sure it’d be okay if you sent the additional one and then called to clarify which ones you want considered.
@coffee-and-cramming Maybe post in the college admissions forum. More people will see it and they won’t all be high school-ers. Otherwise, perhaps you can mail one in since it’s still before the deadline. Or call the admissions office.
I’m not sure what you can do - just throwing out suggestions.

So I’m a DoDEA student. I applied to be a delegate to the U.S. Senate Youth Program. DoDEA has its separate application process and is treated like a state. Circa 35 candidates applied for two delegate spots and two alternate spots. My test score (of the qualifying test) was in the 80s range, I have a 4.4 weighted GPA, won several awards in debate, and had an outstanding interview (despite the fact that I might have not been looking at the camera here and there). What more do I need to get picked in such a limited candidate pool? How in the world am I supposed to get accepted by top-notch colleges if I can’t even get picked by an education board?
I’m not familiar with what program you’re talking about, but I’m assuming its seats are more limited compared to college admissions’ You’re also comparing apples to oranges. College admissions and education boards may take different things into account while determining whether or not someone is qualified.

i haven’t been on here in ages, but what with decisions starting to come out and rd apps being due, you all came to mind.
congratulations to those of you who have been accepted to schools you’re excited to attend! i’m so happy for you.
and to the others –
i hope you’re holding on okay. this time can be rough. identities are shifting sometimes, solidifying sometimes. uncertainty is hard to cope with. for some people, senior year comes and it’s a relief. for others – not so much. there’s so much stress and high emotions. my heart goes out to you.
if you’re feeling disappointed or insecure – hold on tight to your humanity. you are a person, and that in itself is amazing. you’ve undoubtedly changed a lot over the last three and a half years, and you’ll change a lot in the future. college is one small piece of the puzzle. get out into the world. see something beautiful. put yourself into a context larger than just school. the world is vast; appreciate your existence within it.
i hope that exams are going okay for those that have them now, hope that you all can take a deep breath during the upcoming break.
