@Faultystart What essay did you choose? I chose the portal one but halfway through I’m having massive writer’s block
@SetuShah10 I talked about Stern for NYU since that’s my goal. I’m still working on my Cornell one. I finished the part asking how your interest developed and have to finish the Why Cornell aspect

I was going to apply to Chicago EA, but after I didn’t finish the application I’m really rethinking RD.
I’ve only submitted two (finished five, but waiting on last-minute feedback from people), and I don’t even know how many that’s out of because deadlines are approaching and I am absolutely not ready. I have no idea how many I’m going to finish in time… RIP, everyone.

I recycled 99% of all my essays, usually just changing the last line to say something along the lines of “and this is why I want to go to X university.” Lol, it still got me into MIT…but it didn’t work for Rice

On a side note, did anyone just get a letter of rec request from UC Berkeley? I got one like 20 minutes ago and I’m really confused because I thought they stopped asking for them in mid-December?

@Faultystart No! Is that bad because Berkeley is my #1 choice and I REALLY want to get in.
@tigerman333 I don’t know! Some people have been saying people are randomly selected for it, but regardless, many people do get in without LOR requests! I bet you’ll be fine! You seem like a great person!

@tigerman333 I don’t have many tips because I don’t really know how I got in haha. But I’d say you should make sure your essays truly showcase your personality since essays are so important at UChicago.
I finished recording my flute music supplements today! FINALLY FINALLY done with Mozart and Ibert :^)
I’m so excited now because I expected to mess up a lot and end up re-recording all winter break hahah

@SetuShah10 Western New England University, The University of Scranton, Northeastern University, Ursinus College, Bard College, and Binghamton University. I have a 4.0 W GPA, a 32 ACT (33 superscored), and great ECs. Thank you! Awaiting answers from Brown and Dartmouth 
So I have bad news: I just found out that I was deferred from Spelman College EA. However, the good news is that it’s not even my dream school. Still kinda stings tho.
finished Brown, but I don’t have high hopes for it. Now I have to submit Hopkins, Northwestern, and maybe American, though that’s not due until the 10th. I’m rethinking Toronto, too.
