Aghhh the IDOC was basically literal hell… I scanned in documents for FOUR HOURS yesterday!
Now that all my applications are in, I’m more nervous than ever… I hate having no control (other than some interviews) over the process now.
OMG literally god bless reusing essays. At this point, my essays say pretty much the same thing lmaooooo

@coffee-and-cramming LOL ya same i literally reused the body paragraphs for why penn and northwestern! hopefully I don’t forget to substitute the schools names each time :^)

i kinda don’t want to let them go. i know it’s all kind of a cr-pshoot anyway, especially with the schools in the top echelons of education and all, but i’m still scared :")

Guys I’m kinda worried. I submitted my common app to ALL my schools and I just realized that my essay has weird spacing in all of them! It’s double spaced between the paragraphs so there are huge spaces between them. Idk what to do. Do you think it will negatively affect my application?
@coffee-and-cramming That is from copy and pasting. It happened to me too, but I noticed it before I sent it in. It should not affect your application decision.

@coffee-and-cramming Don’t sweat it too much! I’m sure the people who look over your application realize formatting issues happen when you transfer your essay from your word document to the Common App! In the grand scheme of things I doubt an admissions officer will be like, “oh coffee-and-cramming has some odd spacing in their Common App, so we shouldn’t let them in.”
