I am still kinda numb and amazed and shocked and happy for all of you, and thought I’d share some of my joy. There were some disappointments but overall I am very happy with my results!!
Accepted: Rice, Vanderbilt, WashU in STL, Swarthmore College, Amherst College, George Washington University, and UMD
Waitlisted: UofChicago, Yale, Duke
Rejected: Brown, Princeton, Dartmouth, Harvard, Emory, Northwestern, and Williams College
Hey everyone, these are my results!
Accepted: Lehigh, Hobart, Holy Cross, Fordham, Stony Brook, UVM, Providence
Rejected: NYU
I was also offered transfer options by BU and Cornell. BU calls it a “guaranteed transfer” but for Cornell I would need to get a 3.3 GPA and at least a B+ in all the classes that I take in my freshman year at a different college
I’m pretty happy with how things turned out! Most likely going to Hobart! (they gave the most money) c:
@hhjjlala wait lol do you mean that brown will send a warning letter of being rescinded if you get more than one B 2nd semester? And if so, how do you know this?
If you get financial aid from a university for say 2017-2018 and for that year you don’t use up all of that $$, does the remaining money roll over for the next year or do you lose the remaining money?
In case anyone was wondering which university I’m referring to, it’s UMD-CP
Committed to NYU with a Music Theatre (!!!) / International Relations intended double major and a ton of local scholarships going towards it and some aid. I’m PUMPED
ALSO in other news i just sent in my stanford loci (i sent in my waitlist response form a few days ago)! now time to get those grades up + get the courage to send in my mit loci HAhahahahaahaha
@fantasyreader SAME BRO. I keep tossing between physics, mech+aero engineering, and investment banking. I guess it’s sort of exciting since our futures are unpredictable, but I just don’t wanna choose something I’m gonna end up regretting down the line.
Y’all mentioned a program/organization last year around AP test time that paid your AP test fees. I wanted to present this program to the county Board of Education and forgot the name of the program (I think it started with an ‘N’…)
@luckyme123 It’s called NMSI (national math and science initiative). In addition, where I live, they also give you $100 if you get a 3 or higher on a math, science, or english exam, which is pretty awesome. Good luck btw!
Guys, I’m really screwed for the Physics 1 exam on Tuesday. I don’t even think I can get a 3 at this point and that’s what I need for credit. Half the stuff on the test sounds like complete gibberish to me. Does anyone have any suggestions?
