@ak2018 I took AP World last year and got a five on the exam. I suggest crash course and outlining-- It’s all we did in class pretty much 
I was also gonna use Crash Course lol @nyuhopeful44 How did you use your textbook, if you used it? Did you just study and read the paragraphs? And what is outlining?
@ak2018 outlining is basically reading the textbook and taking notes. My strategy is to read a paragraph and write the main idea, otherwise I would take way to many notes
Oh @nyuhopeful44 I was planning on doing something like that. Lol, I just saw in the textbook that they explain outlining. It’s just the title of the paragraph and then list supporting details. I think what I might do is summarize the paragraph in one sentence in my own words. Is this a good idea?
Does anyone think it’s a good idea to self study AP Biology and take the exam in May? I had honors Biology last semester, but my school doesn’t offer AP. I have the AP seventh edition Campbell textbook and Cliffsnotes. I obviously have background in it now, but would it work if I went more in depth to prepare for May?
@HelloThereHola I think if you get a few prep books and the flashcards (I suggest Barron’s for both) you have a good chance of doing well on the exam, but I’m taking the class right now and I’m finding it to be extremely hard. Since you’ve taken honors biology, you most likely have some understanding of the concepts. From what I know about the exam, it’s mostly about understanding the processes in biology and being able to explain vocab terms as opposed to memorizing specific facts.

@ak2018 First, you have to let AP services know that you will be taking the test before March. Also, just reasonably schedule it so that on vacations such as Summer break, Winter break, and spring break you will finish whatever you are studying for. Crash courses on youtube should help a lot btw

@ak2018 My mom is making me self-study APUSH. So… we should all keep track of each others self-study, just to see how we are doing. What do you think about that? I have history, french (almost done), and math. Lets do this!

I just came up with such a good idea, I’m on a roll today. We should tell each other what we’re self-studying and see if any of us could help each other if we’re not understand something and also give encouragement and motivation in the form of words and/or memes. @tonyk16 is an expert at this. It could be like a little digital study group, right on this thread. I know I’m going to need motivation to self-study World History II. We can give out advice on which books we should by, what chapter we’re on, and so much more. Do you guys think it’s a good idea?

S.N.H.C. Status Update (lol): It is 8:50pm and I am now starting my Chemistry homework. I plan to try to self-study World History II after that and then maybe annotate 10 pages of Frankenstein. I’ll check in periodically, good luck to all.
