High School Class of 2018

we have 8-3 everyday but i have zero period PE so I start at 7:00

7:10-2:20 with AP review sessions at 6:30 :((

We are 8:00-3:15. As much as I’m not a morning person, I kind of wish we began earlier. It gets dark around 5:30 so there is not much time to do anything that involves being outside when I get home.

I’m so jealous of your guys’ school time. I go from 7:30 to 3:05. :frowning:

I’m not ready to commit to my junior year
schedule, honestly. I wish class registeration was in March (or something).

My school goes from 7:20?-2:10, i have to wake up at 5:45 to catch the bus at 6:20 though.

My midterms start on Thursday, but my Latin teacher decided to have us take the translating portion of our test today. He made us go to the online textbook, which gave the direct translations of all the words, as well as the tense/declension. I think since a lot of kids have been whining about their grades, he gave us a gimme. xD The multiple-choice portion is notoriously hard, so I’m happy this was so easy.

@LeopardFire My mid-terms start on Tuesday.

Who else might have a snow day tomorrow?

@frazzledazzle Good luck! :slight_smile:

Its snowing over here, so maybe! I kinda don’t want one though, since tomorrow is going to be the last review day for me. Knowing myself I’ll just procrastinate all day if I have a snow-day. :stuck_out_tongue:

My midterms are the week after next. And I really hope there’s a snowday! There should have been one today. We have to walk between buildings to get to our classes which is not fun in a blizzard, which we have been having all day

So sorry for you guys who still have midterms, good luck, stay strong.

same @nyuhopeful44

i just spent like an hour and a half on math homework :frowning: And its just review on factoring lol but its a lot of problems combined with my procrastination

Wow so much notifications !!! Hope everyone is doing well. Exams start this Friday for me.

Haven’t been on this thread lately. Anyways, in Chemistry today, we were talking about all of the options for science classes we could take. Also, that teacher recommendations are coming up. I asked my teacher if she would recommend me for AP Chem and she said yes and that I have definitely improved from first quarter. Next Friday, we’ll be writing down what two classes we want to be recommended for. My first choice is AP Chem and second choice is Physics I. She also liked the fact that I was taking two Engineering classes.

@LeopardFire Thanks!

@nyuhopeful44 I am fortunate enough to have my school in 1 building.

My school didn’t have a snow day. We only had a 1-hour delay.
I met with my guidance counselor today to talk about classes for next year! I chose what classes I’m going to take next year, and I’m very excited! Now to wait a few weeks until we get the class sheets!
AP Language
Intro to Astronomy
AP US History
Honors Chemistry
Calculus: Level 1
Band
Honors French IV

@frazzledazzle that schedule looks good! Is calculus 1 the same thing as AP Calc AB? We don’t have calc 1 at my school

@nyuhopeful44 Currciulum wise, yes, Calc 1 = AP Calc AB. Might not get college credit for it though unless it’s DE or you take a placement test/CLEP exam.

I think it might be Pre-Calculus @nyuhopeful44

@nyuhopeful44 @Madeline25 @ak2018 It is between Pre-Calculus and AP Calc AB. I will take AP Calc AB senior year. Calculus Level 1 is a prerequisite for me to take AP Calc AB because I was in Accelerated Pre-Calc, not Honors.

@frazzledazzle oh okay then your schedule looks good!
