I need help with a survey! It’s for my IB Personal Project and I need at least 25 responses! I would gladly appreciate it.
I’ll PM you the link.

@cxprus hit me up fam
Ugh. So I just found out we’re having a Spanish Chapter 3 Test. Add that to the list of technical midterms I have to take. I have a Chemistry test tomorrow, as well as a Geometry EOC retake test.
@nyuhopeful44 If you want to go into the medical field, Medical Career Foundations and Forensics sound pretty nice. But Honors Philosophy must be hella cool as well. Maybe take a class that you know will benefit you (ie. make it a little easier to pursue what you want to do) later on, and also one you think you’ll really enjoy?
@ak2018 Good luck on all your tests! I hope everything will go well.
I’m sort of nervous for tomorrow… I’m taking a class at the local university, and I’m not really sure what I should do? Where would I sit? Would the other students judge me for my age (if they were able to tell)? Could I talk to them, or would I just be brushed off? Idk. I’m probably over-complicating things. Though, the professor’s supposed to be cool and the class rather easy, which makes things seem less intimidating.
@Madeline25 I’m not sure how in depth Medical Career Foundations goes so I’m going to talk to someone in it today. Lifeguarding would certify me but there aren’t very many beaches near me so idk. @mutedmornings I think I’m leaning toward honors philosophy with either Medical Career Foundations or Forensics. Thanks guys for all the advice, I really appreciate it!
@cxprus I’ll take your survey!
Yall i need help. My school started offering AP chem for next year again; they offered it last yeat to only seniors and i dont think they did so well lol. Should i take it? My schedule would look like this:
Ap calc
Ap physics
Ap lit
Ap capstone
Apush
Ap chem
Latin 3
Im taking 4 aps right now (ap lang, ap euro, ap pysch, ap world) but honestly that junior schedule looks scary. I could take it senior year (i would have the same amount of aps) but one of my friends really wants me to take it next year. Is going from 4 to 6 aps(in all core classes) too much?
@cxprus PM me.
@nyuhopeful44 I think Forensics and philosophy sound like awesome classes. Also, where do you plan on taking your online classes? I’ve been trying to find a way to self-study the AP Chem prerequisite.
This could change, but I think this is what my junior year schedule will look like.
Symphony Orchestra
A Cappella Choir
APUSH
PLTW engineering (they’re adding aerospace and biomedical, so I don’t know what to pick!)
AP Calc BC
AP Lang
AP Chem
I’m also trying to get my French credits through the local community college. My school gives one year of credit per semester, so I think it will be worth it.
@Hamlon Michigan Virtual High School
I think this will be my junior year schedule:
Ap Lang
Ap Chem
Ap Calc BC
AP Psychology
Us History
French 3
I’m debating whether or not I want to take AP US History… Currently I am taking 1 Ap, 3 Honors, Choir and French 2; I got all A’s but it definitely took a lot of effort.
Also, anyone going to Winter Formal this year?
@cxprus I’ll take it! Do you know when the answers are due?
@neonerudite I’d take either AP Chem or Physics senior year. Too much science could get overwhelming imo.
@sewin2music I don’t really know if we have a Winter Formal. There was a winter dance planned for lower classmen last year, but it was cancelled since not enough people bought tickets.
Today was my last midterm! It was for Latin. I think I did okay, or at least, better than last year. My teacher’s midterms and finals are notoriously hard though, but that’s kinda of a good thing because the curve should be huge.
On a worse note, I had a nightmare last night that I got a 0 on my English midterm. I was hysteric, until I woke up. Now I can’t shake the feeling that I did bad on all of them.
@LeopardFire I’m going to watch Bozeman Biology videos later to study for my midterm tomorrow.
@nyuhopeful44 I agree with @LeopardFire’s response.
@cxprus Hit me up!
@neonerudite Go with your gut, even if that means you won’t have classes with your friends.
I had my history midterm today! I’m surprised on how easy it was. It was very long, though. 80 questions (40 matching, 40 multiple choice) and 8 short responses. 10 questions and 1 multiple choice for each chapter we have done so far. Tomorrow’s going to be my worst day - AP Biology and Pre-Calculus. Thankfully Friday is kinda easy - Band and French 3. I’ll still study for French tomorrow.
@Hamlon If I would were you, I’d take Aerospace.
Also, I picking my courses for next year tomorrow. I’ll finally be setting my schedule in stone, at least until I want to change it. I just talked to the AP Economics, AP Chemistry, and Engineering teachers and have made my decision. Because I am planning on going to Virginia Tech, I’ll need a lot of AP’s. I’m planning on only doing four, even though for Engineering, due to how competitive it is, the average number of AP classes taken is between 5 - 9. This is likely the best I can do and I hope it gets me in.
Junior Year:
Engineering Explorations I/Robotics
AP Economics (Weighted)
AP Chemistry (Weighted)
U.S. and Virginia History
Functions/Trigonometry (Weighted)
Spanish II
English 12
I heard that Engineering Explorations I/Robotics is going to be pretty fun. A lot of people from the Robotics team are going to be there. The class is literally Robotics club as a class. I also heard, from the teacher himself, that AP Economics is pretty hard, but there is rarely any homework!
Senior Year:
Principles of Engineering (Weighted)
Engineering Design and Development (Weighted)
Physics I
U.S. and Virginia History
AP Calculus AB (Weighted)
AP Statistics (Weighted)
English 12
Engineering Design and Development is more of an independent study into Engineering, pretty cool. Would anyone mind explaining what exactly is an independent study?
We’re going to pick classes tomorrow during English. My Chemistry test today was easy.
My teacher just put in all of our homework from the semester and I got a 25/100 and so did everyone else and he won’t respond to any of our emails so I went from a 91% to an 83% X( X(
I’m not sure when we’re picking classes but my (mentally) planned out junior schedule is:
AP Gov
APUSH 2
AP Physics 1
Anatomy Physiology
English 11 Honors
Italian 4 Honors
Pre Calc
Phys Ed/Health 11
or I’m considering:
APUSH 2
AP Physics 1
Anatomy Physiology
English 11 Honors
Italian 4 Honors
Pre Calc E
Programming in Java (to then take AP Comp Sci A senior year)
Phys Ed/Health 11
Sadly Phys Ed/Health is a required course for all 4 years in my state otherwise I’d gladly drop it for another elective. Oh well, what can ya do
@nyuhopeful44 That’s just not right! X( Your teacher’s probably like >:) .
@cxprus I’ll take it!
I found out that my school doesn’t offer IB Chem at all currently and I really wanted to take it as a SL. There is a good bit of people intrested in taking it though so we might try to convince them to offer it.
I got my junior year class stuff, and I am choosing (this is not concrete yet)
American Experience
Publishing (Intro)
Pre-Calc
Financial Math
French 4
Chemistry
Anatomy
Global Studies (Second diploma program)
And some other history electives.
After 10th grade there is no more accelerated (honors) classes for math. And they don’t offer honors for any another class.
I tried to create rigor by taking two math classes (I love math), and am avoiding art classes at all cost lol.
Does it look ok?
It looks pretty good @apple1893
U guys I’m really scared if he doesn’t do something I’ll have a B in a “normal” (non AP) class
