High School Class of 2018

Hey @apple1893 I may not be going to school tomorrow, but I’m always up for the S.N.H.C… I’m going to try to catch up on 19 pages of Frankenstein and maybe do those summer program essays.

We have no school tomorrow and Tuesday, btw.

@frazzledazzle thanks! I just got it, I’ll respond in a sec
@mutedmornings my school doesn’t offer the PSAT until the end of this year. I’m planning to take the ACT again in october of next year, I didn’t study at all for it.
If being a girl counts as a hook, I have that. Other than that, nada. I’m planning to get a state leadership position in Key Club and to join NHS and Link Crew next year

@apple1893 i guess i have an important math final i procrastinated studying for

@BucketsUCSC I’m trying to study for a US History Quiz without dying of boredom

If only I had homework to do for S.N.H.C…well I will still stay up of course. How is everyone’s homework/studying coming along?

@tonyk16 I’m still studying for history. But I’m making good progress!

@apple1893 Woo! You’re still alive and you haven’t died of boredom!! Good luck on that quiz also! What are you guys doing in history right now?

Yay SNHC :stuck_out_tongue:
I’ve procrastinated my first AP Gov assignment, which is a chapter outline. Its taking hours. I also have a short story to read, annotate, and answer questions about for English, a math worksheet, and bio notes that I will most likely put off.

@tonyk16 lol, We are learning about the turn of the century. So like: The treaty of Paris, Spanish American war, so on

Sounds like a lot of work. Hope its all going well for you

@apple1983 It is, but I’ll get through it somehow. x) Good luck with your history quiz!

Oh my, I just remembered I was supposed to read for bio…

@ak2018 Hey I just noticed this, and I thought I should tell you, you were the 2900th comment!! Congrats!! <:-P <:-P

@nyuhopeful44 Thank you for responding!

Lol @tonyk16 That was pure luck.

History is getting there…

Pretty sure I just bombed my math final… I hate math

I got a 104 on my History midterm! I’m so happy!!!

I dropped from a 90.4 to a 90.1

So today, I decided to call Virginia Tech to answer some questions I had. Here were the answers:

Question: Should I take a high number of AP classes?
Answer: It really depends on how many AP classes your school offers. For example, if your school offers 20, mine offers 25(26), then you should likely take 5 or more.

I plan to take 4, but they told me AP Economics would count as both AP Microeconomics and AP Macroeconomics together. So technically, it would be 5

Question: Would it be good to self study AP’s over the summer and then take the test the following May? Also, if I get a good score on those AP tests, would they factor into my admission?
Answer: We don’t look at AP test scores.

Which means self-studying AP’s wouldn’t be the best thing for me to do. Unless I wanted to get the certificate, which costs $49.

Question: Should I plan to take two Engineering class junior, or one?
Answer: We look at PLTW Engineering classes, but look at your AP Science, English, and Math classes more. But will definitely look at those if your grade was high.

Honestly, it felt great to talk to someone from Tech.
