High School Class of 2018

Also, I’d recommend looking at those AP forums I was taking about for every AP you plan to take this year and the year after that. They are pretty interesting!

@HelloThereHola I’m in ap calc ab and apush. both are really fun and i love them both. I took human geo last year and both are way more fun than human geo.

@gormar099 What AP’s have you taken?

@HelloThereHola I’ve had AP Gov for a grand total of eight days, so don’t take my opinion too seriously, but I don’t really like it. I have my same teacher from regular gov last semester, and she’s really nice, but the actually content we are learning is kinda boring. Maybe its because I still remember a lot of US history from eighth grade. On the bright side, the AP test should be easy to study for.

On a slightly-related topic, has anyone here taken or planning on taking AP Euro? I’ve always been interested in European history.

@ak2018 the only exam i’ve taken is human geo, but i’m taking apush and calc this year.
@LeopardFire I’m gonna take euro next year!!

Anyone taking AP Econ next year? I might take it, but apparently it’s hard at my school and I’m not sure if I want my gpa to be massacred, but I hear it is a really fun class and really useful too. Decisions, decisions.

@gormar099 I was planning to, but decided to do AP Psychology instead. I’m still deciding if I want to do AP Economics, but I’m pretty sure my mind has been made.

@gomar099 I was planning to but we did some econ in APUSH and I couldn’t stand it.

If anyone is planning on taking AP World, APUSH, or AP Bio next year I can answer any questions

@nyuhopeful44 How is the workload for APUSH? Do you think it is one of the easier AP’s?

My course registration opened up on PowerSchool (online grade portal) today. Apparently Classical Studies isn’t a social studies elective anymore. :frowning: I’m debating on what I should take instead, I’m leaning towards Intro to Computer Science right now.

@LeopardFire APUSH is definitely easier than World and Bio, but I wouldn’t call it “easy.” At my school the workload is pretty heavy. Every monday we either have two outlines due or a test so bye bye weekends. We also have articles to read during the week. Your school might do it differently though, and I’m still glad I took the class, the material is pretty interesting.

Guys I’m still planning on taking AP Human Geography because I heard AP Statistics is pretty hard at my school.

You guys, world history is so interesting. I can’t wait for AP US History next year lol. History is the best

Also, is anyone here planning to take, or has taken, any SAT II subject tests? I was planning on doing the Math Level 2 and Chemistry tests and maybe Italian, since I took three years of it in middle school. I would have to do some review, but not too much as a lot of the things we’re learning in Spanish have the same meanings in Italian.

That’s great @HelloThereHola I’m planning on taking World History II over the summer and U.S. and Virginia History next year.

@ak2018 i’m taking math 2 and bio in may

Cool @gormar099 I was planning to do the Math Level 2, Chemistry, and Italian tests next year!

I am taking Math 1, Math 2 and World History in June.

@univbound101 why both math 1 and 2? if you can do well on math 2, there’s no point in taking math 1 as it won’t add anything to your app and if you can’t do that well on math 2 don’t take it.

Maybe I should take the Math 1 test as I will be finishing up Algebra II at the end of this year. @univbound101 I’ll ask my parents, when the time comes, if we’ll have enough money for it.

@gormar099 has a point @univbound101 !
