i rethought and rethought my schedule and then i was like “i’m destined for torture.”
i’ve had enough hard classes this year already, how am i gonna handle junior yr???
i stay up until 12 every day now and i hate it
@ak2018 my friend got a 5 on the AP World test and thought he could walk in cold and ace the World SAT 2 Subject test… he got a 580!!! He says the questions are a lot harder then AP and are far more conceptuala and require to differentiate between many similar concepts. So I’ll take the SAT 2 for world but only after i study vigorously for it and feel confident.
Subject tests I will be taking
Math 2
World History/US History or both
Spanish
@thetex I feel the exact same way about my course scheduling for next year. Heck, I feel the same way about this year. Hopefully, we’ll all get through this nightmarish hell we call “high school”. We’ll also, unfortunately, end up in 2nd level hell called “college” if we’re “lucky” enough! :)) May I see your schedule as of right now?
@BucketsUCSC The SAT II’s are mainly for people who want to show interest in a certain subject to colleges. I checked and the SAT World History subject test would require AT LEAST AP World History. Meaning that you’ll need a very good interest in World History. Here what is recommended for taking the test:
One-year comprehensive course in world history at the college-preparatory level
Independent reading or study of historical topics covered on the test
Review of world history textbooks, with careful attention to areas of weakness and trends within major periods (timelines are useful tools for doing this)
@ak2018 I’m taking Molecular Biology and US History in June.
@BucketsUCSC thanks for the info, I thought they’d be really easy. Are you taking all of those at once? I thought you could only do three at a time.
My junior year schedule is still in the works, but we’ll see what it is at the end. I’m gonna start my hw now, and try to go to bed by 10. It’ll be a challenge, but I’m gonna give it a shot
Just had an amazing speech competition! I participated in Impromptu; unfortunately, none of the students at my school got into finals so oh well ;-;
I’m pretty nervous about my schedule for next year too, I’m not sure about doubling up on AP Chem and AP Physics
@nyuhopeful44 I wouldn’t want to do two sciences in one year.
double sciences is fine as long as one of them is ap enviro lol
I would like to post my comment that I had addressed towards an Internet troll who went on a one of my favorite musicians page and outright said he was a better human being than her! The guy is literally a 25 year-old Psychology major and apparently making music and he says that everyone in Hollywood is an idiot who sold their soul for fame, I agree with this to some extent. But this eventually led to him calling the kids attacking him “retarted” and then basically self-proclaimed himself to be a “genius” because he was a very “successful” writer who retired at the age of 20. He’s apparently so famous that he wouldn’t state his actaul name. He, cowardly, went under a fake name to keep his identity secret. The definition of a cyberbully. This is what I said after he blatantly stated that anyone following a religion was an “uneducated idiot”, I may not be " religious " but’s messed up to me.
+David Galaxie And that so called “success” you have could honestly all be gone in a day. I honestly rather be working for the rest of my life at a job I love than ever be retired. First of all, I’d take advice from someone who has experienced more of life than a 25 year old who thinks he’s found the key to success. Please, you’re way too late on that one. I find it highly unbelievable that you’re this proud of yourself. A 25+ year old musician/writer who hopes he can stay the music business. And the fact that you literally stereotyped all of Hollywood, ha! That place basically controls the entertainment system, good luck finding a way to avoid becoming like the people you call idiots. I am going to back to my life OUTSIDE of my phone and actually do something meaningful. I suggest you do the same! However, knowing you, you’ll just explain why I’m wrong and then insult a part of my personality. I’m expected it now as I’ve been in some many of these debates before. Try and prove me wrong and not post again, I don’t care. As long as humanity stands on this Earth, there will always be people like you and I, so deal with it. At least I have the decency to put my name on here. What, you afraid TMZ might recognize you? I’d honestly love to see that! Well, I guess that’s all I have to say on the topic. You may have won the battle, but have not won the war!
Again, I wanted to share this because of how much it affected me. That fact the guy literally turned the conversation from a dislike of the artist to a flat-out religious debate. I can’t stand Internet t-r-o-l-l-s. I know they’re going to some people on this thread who’ll hate it, but I just really want to address.
Edit: the starred out word is t-r-o-l-l.
This was obviously on YouTube, BTW.
@reidd799 I’m also taking Honors Chem, Honors French 4, and AP Lang next year!
@HelloThereHola I can’t wait for AP US History to be over at the end of next year so I have my History requirement completed and can take AP World.
@ak2018 I’m probably going to talk to my mom about taking the Biology test this spring. I don’t want to be taking too many tests next year. I’m probably just going to take the Math 2 and French tests next year. Maybe World History as well. I don’t know yet.
@nyuhopeful44 I think doubling up on AP Chem and AP Physics would be insane. Those APs are the 2 hardest ones. I’m also planning on doubling up on sciences, but they are easier classes.
@ak2018 @frazzledazzle ik they’re hard but I talked to my friend who’s in AP Physics now and she said it’s a blowoff so I think I might go for it
Five more days until my sweet sixteen!!
That sounds exciting! @nyuhopeful44
@gormar099 @ak2018 I have to take three and I am taking Pre-Cal and Algebra 2 at the same time.
@nyuhopeful44
I am in AP Physics 1 and I can confirm the class is easy. Each chapter is based on only 3-6 formulas. I never studied for a test and I ended 1st semester with an A.
However, I heard the AP test is significantly different and harder than the class itself. Do lots of self-studying for the AP exam.
As for AP Chemistry that’s pure torture.
Try AP Environmental Science or AP Biology if you want to double.
@univbound101 You’re taking pre-calc and algebra 2 at the same time? I have NEVER heard of a school that offers that. You need algebra 2 for Pre-calc, so if you plan to do both, be prepared to struggle a little bit. I would recommend preparing a bit before you start. My school doesn’t allow that so I am taking pre-calc next year.
@thetex I’m in Biology now and my school doesn’t offer APES. Chem would be my most difficult class, I didn’t want to add Physics if that was the same way.
How are you guys doing in your classes? My grades have dropped significantly and I’m about to commit seppuku.
