@nyuhopeful44 If I were you, I’d want to get as much sleep as possible that day, especially since they’re both history exams.
I can’t believe I got 2’s on all of my AP exams! I mean, I haven’t taken them yet, but…
Nah, in all seriousness, I’m pretty confident that I’ll pass them all. I still haven’t been this nervous about testing before. Even when I took the ACT I was pretty nonchalant because I knew I was going to retake it anyway. At least if I do end up failing, it won’t matter when I’m 80 (and I always have this thread to vent!)
I hope everyone does well! Good luck and KEEP STUDYING. I’ve been slacking a bit lately.
Well today was a weird day. Chemistry class was satisfactorily frustrating and when we were playing soccer in P.E, a girl got a face full of soccer ball. I wasn’t the one who kicked it, but as soon as she went down, I helped her get up. She’s actually a good friend of mine.
Anyways, I’m going to be staying after school today to study for my Spanish and Math test and then a little bit of Chemistry. I have a Spanish and Math test tomorrow and a Chemistry test on Monday.
What are you doing in your class right now (unit-wise)? I’m doing:
Computer Math: Making math function calculators using Visual Basic.
Pre-AP English 10: We’ve just been reading The Tragedy of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare.
Pre-AP World History I: The Late Middle Ages (Currently the Crusades.)
Spanish I: Unit 4: School Life (About to start Unit 5: Family Life)
Pre-AP Chemistry: Stoichiometry
Algebra II: Series and Sequences (About to start Probability and Statistics)
HPE I: PE
We had our IA’s given back to us today and I got 2/6 which is around 33%. The highest mark was 4/6 but thankfully, it was just formative and was not for marks. Don’t start your homework while the teacher is doing a homework check.
@ak2018 School is booorrrinnngggg. Since I’m a lazy person, I rarely ever study for anything before a test unless it’s on the morning of the test. Strangely, I can still pull off A’s unless it’s a formative assignment then I just don’t study at all.
Math 20 IB (Pre-Calculus): Radicals or whatever. The unit isn’t rad though.
ELA 10 Pre-IB: Analyzing films.
Science 10 Pre-IB: Physics.
Social Studies 10 Pre-IB: Economic Globalization. We’re going to start a debate on oil sands soon.
FLA 10 Pre-IB: Currently doing a French short film project. We don’t go by units but by projects.
Sports Performance 15: How to Create a Proper Training and Nutrition Plan.
CALM 20: Sexual education ((((;;;;;;
I feel like the AP exams really sneaked up on me. I only have the AP Gov one, and I don’t think it will be too bad, but I really need to start studying. u.u
@averagebean What is an IA?
@ak2018 Here are my class units:

Honors Latin II - We don’t really have units, but today we started a project where we are cursing someone in Latin with a curse tablet
Also, tomorrow is the last day of school for me before spring break!! I can’t believe we’re almost half-way through high school, it feels like just yesterday I was just a little helpless freshman. (ಥ﹏ಥ)

@LeopardFire An IA is basically a design lab with the whole problem, hypothesis, procedure, etc. but they call it a different name in the IB program. I have no idea why.

@sewin2music Passe compose? :o I didn’t think it was that bad, but it’s annoying having to memorize all the irregular past participles. We’re doing the exact same thing in Chem right now :o We did this lab today to find the titration of an acid and we got a molarity of 28 because the person i was working with thought it would turn a darker purple… it didn’t :s I’m kinda surprised you’re reading Night right now, we read that in 8th grade at my old school and it’s a freshman summer reading book at my new school
