@bubblylaugh Still here! I have like 9 videos/short quizzes to watch on getafive.com before 11:59. I think that’s manageable for a little over an hour left. I’m multi-tasking and trying to watch khan academy for my pre-calc test tomorrow. Trying not to fall asleep.
Studying Algebra 2 and U.S History at the same time (quiz tomorrow). And low-key gonna study for English quiz tomorrow at 7 AM.

it is so nice not to worry about AP exams so happy UC’s don’t take that into consideration. Plus even if i did get a 5 on AP World none of the UC’s give any differentiation between a 3 or 5 for college credit for only World History. If i was in something like AP Chem i may consider studying

@gormar099 Yeah, I’d memorize the rubrics. I’ve done that for the DBQ and it helps me write faster and with more purpose. For example, I know that to fulfill the synthesis requirement I just need to put in the introduction, “Blah blah ties in with the larger theme of blah in America. Previously/Later on, blah blah blah happened and it’s similar because here, blah blah blah.” (I’d say it should be an explanation a little more in depth than that, but you get the idea). Similarly, I know that to get the two points for the thesis I just have to put it in the format of “Although __, because _, _, ____.” 3 points right in the introduction.
I’m going to be emo in this post because I just need to get my feelings out there. I’ve been feeling so nostalgic about freshman year lately. I was at another online school before I transferred to this one, and although I feel like I’m getting a better education through this one and I’m grateful for that, the last one was a lot less lonely. I had a great group of acquaintances that I’d talk to in most of my classes, amazing teachers that felt like friends, and group projects that actually weren’t hell. I don’t talk to anyone at my new school and the only teacher I’ve really connected with at all is my AP Econ teacher. I actually sent my 9th grade Bio teacher an email the other day thanking him for the experience he gave me just because I miss his class so much. This is also part of the reason I’ve been unmotivated. Not having school friends or mentors makes the daily routine even more boring. Of course, I have other friends, but it’d just be nice to have someone that understands your workload and can complain about assignments with you. I’m really hoping that I’ll make some friends once I start taking dual enrollment classes. This has been a hard year to say the least.
