@droporain It wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be! There were certain things I knew very well that barley were mentioned, which bothered me, but at the same time, there were things I was worried about that didn’t show up much either. I was certain the FRQ’s would destroy me, but they were actually pretty easy. I’m a little worried about some of them, but it could have gone way worse. I think I passed, at least. Also, I’ve never heard of using “AP NSL” for AP Gov before. What does “NSL” stand for? I can’t figure it out. x)
Me: signs a statement promising I won’t talk about the questions on the AP exams
Me: So what did you guys get for that one that was like [insert entire question word for word here].
Just kidding. Sort of.
@neptuna I did the same thing with the PSAT. I remember back in October, when the first new PSAT came out, #PSAT was trending on Twitter. :)) Lol, The College Board should really get rid of the rule anyway. You’d think with the amount of money they make off of students each year, they wouldn’t have to reuse tests, which they do with a lot of the SAT Subject Tests.
You’re not alone by the way, there are threads on CC that discuss the AP tests and SAT II subject tests using that exact format.
Oh, and another tip. The College Board usually almost always reuse SAT subject tests, so all you would need to do is find all of the released tests you can and practice the material. I was looking on one of the SAT Math Level 2 threads and saw that one person said the test had similar questions to that of the 2014 version.
@ak2018 Right! I didn’t take the PSAT, but I remember everyone talking and joking about it. I LOVE jokes about test questions because usually people struggle on the same ones. It makes you feel a lot better to know other people looked at them and went “???”
I changed my schedule for next year (again lol) so now I have
AP Lit
AP Chem
AP Physics
AP Econ
Medical Interventions
Honors Precalc
@ak2018 Lol, are SOLs still online? Ugh, Testnav, amirite?
Hi everyone,
I just recently stumbled upon this thread and it looks like you all have formed a pretty tight-knit community that I would like to join. I’m not really sure if there are any formalities on how to officially “join” but here are my personal details if those are necessary (don’t want to read through all 300+ pages of the thread to make sure).
Home State: California (Silicon Valley)
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Asian Indian
Area of Interest: Medicine, probably Orthopedic Surgery or Podiatry, I’m aiming to get into a combined/accelerated medical (BS/MD) program
Yeah so Class of 2018 RULES and let’s get through these next two years together.
@BigGali Welcome! @ak2018 has a greeting/introduction that he(?) gives everybody, but that’s as formal as it gets when joining the thread.
This made me realize I’m not even 100% sure what gender everyone is on here. I don’t want to use the wrong pronouns for anyone, so do you guys wanna post reminders?
I’m female, and I guess I’ll also mention that I live in Ohio and am white (Italian/Sicilian and Dutch).
@awesomepolyglot Yeah, they still are. I remember when they used to be on paper back when I was in the 5th grade. Once they were online, the SOLs felt like they were getting harder, which they actually were. The state decided to make the SOLs harder and then even harder. We still use Testnav lol.
At least they don’t use Measurement Inc. lol bc they messed up in TN bigtime
For 7th grade US History, there was this one guy in my class who had a computer crash and a forced logout in the middle of the test who was in and out with a 600 in 30 minutes and another who stayed at school until 8 taking the Algebra 1 test lmao
@BigGali Hi! There are definitely no formalities you have to go through in order to join. We’re simply a bunch of high school kids, not The Midnight Society (an Are You Afraid of the Dark? reference). When I found this thread 6 months ago, it had around 150 pages. I got to page 100 and decided to stop and introduce myself. :))
You and @BucketsUCSC both live in California, so you two will probably have a lot to talk about. I actually thought Silicon Valley was in Arizona. I feel like I’d love to live there. How’s it like?
It’s cool that your interested in Medicine, something that my parents have wanted me to be interested in for a while. I’m more interested in mechanical engineering. I’m also a black male living in Virginia. My top choice college is Virginia Tech, do you know what yours is?
Here’s a little welcome message I write to new members on our thread:
Hello and welcome to CC’s official High School Class of 2018 Thread. Here you can interact with other users who have the same high level of interest about school as you. Here, we talk about almost everything associated with school and our daily lives as well. During this time of the year, as I’ve seen so far, we’ve been talking about course selections for next year as well getting ready for junior year. We’ve also talked about school sports and clubs, current grades, internships, summer programs, scholarships, and so much more. Anything you can think of pertaining to school, specifically sophomore year centered, we’ve probably talked about it. This thread, as I’ve seen throughout the past three months, can also be used to talk about personal issues as well. The students on here a very supportive bunch and have helped me figure out problems as well as help me through some of the most stressful times during this year. So, this thread can also be used as a way to de-stress and relax. If you have any questions about anything pertaining to this thread, just reply. Hopefully, you’ll stay for the long haul all the way until graduation. I’ve been on this thread for a few months now and I’ve got to say, it can be pretty addicting. Hope you have a nice time on this thread. Virtual Handshake

So I notice that a lot of you took APUSH as sophomores (at my school its very strictly World Geography, then World History, then US History, then Gov/Econ) and I was wondering if you had any advice regarding the course and/or the AP test? Same for any of these other courses that some of you have taken, thanks!
@ak2018 I added AP Physics and took out AP Gov and Medical Career Foundations
