High School Class of 2018

@jakejake637 Did you watch Life is Beautiful?! I swear, back when I took Italian in middle school, we watched that movie 5 times. It was seriously such a great movie. Roberto Benigni was great in that movie. I understand the whole ethnicity thing, BTW.

@DaEmmJay23 I’m not taking AP computer programming because my school doesn’t offer it ,but have you heard of codeacademy, microsoft virtual academy, and khan academy? … they aren’t related they just all end with the word academy XD.

But anywho, I’ve learned a lot the things I know about programming and coding through them. They are easy to follow, can only take a few weeks to learn a language, and free. So maybe you should check them and if you can learn a few things.

Oh also you can search collegeboard’s forums for this. But you’ve probably already did that

@mutedmornings I listen to kpop too cough i love bts cough. I mean just in case it wasn’t obvious from my profile picture of Sehun, I like it a lot.

@ihavenoideawow That actually is kind of like me, I’m harassing my friend for her AP biology notes so I can study them over the summer XD …I guess I’ll harass her for her textbook too lol ;

@ak2018 yea that’s the one! it was so good, but so sad at the same time

@abbiegaile BTS is great. I love Save Me so much… I hope that once they come back from their tour, they’ll promote it. Though… they’re not in the best health, so it’d probably be better to just let them rest.

Exo is great, too. I hope they also get some rest, before their next comeback (which I hope will be more “dark”, and akin to Overdose). SM’s recent aesthetic has been amazing (ever since ICC, imo), and I’m sure Exo could pull almost anything off.

You should check out IOI! Their debut song is kinda bad, but they themselves are amazing. Here are two of their performances: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fXAI5iTcbg, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ud5tjkuPbHE

My bias is Kim Sejeong (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0zHD1rVSiQ, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeTLcSZ1oB8, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3MbtxQUH9g). She has a wonderful voice, lots of charisma on stage, and a killer personality!

I’m currently at the library right now, doing some practice SOLs. Our SOLs, finals given by the sate of Virginia, start on Tuesday and end on Tuesday, May 24th. I have my World History SOL on Wednesday (in the afternoon), my Chemistry SOL on Friday (in the afternoon), and my Algebra II SOL on Monday, May 23rd (in the morning). Based on the practice SOLs I’ve been doing, I expect that my scores on the SOLs will be:

World History Projected Score: Pass Advanced (Between 500 and 560)
Chemistry Projected Score: Pass - Pass Advanced (450 - 520)
Algebra II Projected Score: Pass Advanced (500 - 560)

The scores for the practice SOLs I just took were:
World History: 550
Chemistry: 480
Algebra II: 500

The SOL scale is:
Pass Advanced: 500 - 600
Pass: 400 - 499
Fail: 0 - 399

@neptuna ah…was just curious. Im taking advantage of starbucks happy hours by going daily from yesterday to tomorrow cause I didn’t know about it until yesterday

@cxprus I found a CC article about switching from IB to AP. It’s a good read! http://www.collegeconfidential.com/dean/impact-switch-ib-ap-senior-year/

@ak2018 We call them end of course exams or EOCs here, but luckily we don’t have to take them for many classes. We only have them for Biology, Algebra 1&2, Geometry, and US History. Plus we have Florida standardized assessments in 9th and 10th for reading and writing.

I think I would go crazy if we had as many as you. Good luck on your exams!

i’m planning on taking it for real on oct 22. my advisor and i talked to college guidance and they said they want the girls applying to the ivies to get 34s and above so hopefully i can push my score up to there by studying this summer… fingers crossed!

ugh sorry for the zillions of posts but i realized it sounded weird when i said “girls”
its just cuz i go to an all-girls school so… yeah they don’t discriminate based on what gender u are for what scores u need lol

@SlugBanquo I don’t play football either (I do soccer, basketball, and track), but I watch A LOT of football.

@SlugBanquo I used to play football in the 8th grade, haven’t since.

Any of y’all in for S.N.H.C? I know I am! Busy week! For those who are new, S.N.H.C (Sunday Night Homework Club) is just when we all do hw during Sunday evening to Monday morning because we were too lazy to do our hw on Saturday #noshame.

I’m so glad that school is almost over. Now that APs are done, and I finished my online AP and DE classes, I only have homework in pre calc, anatomy, and english. After averaging 3-3.5 hours of homework a night for a while, I’m super relieved to have like no work to do at home (I can do my stuff in AP Seminar, and AP World). Ahhh, no more learning guides for world makes me SO happy.

PS Sorry for y’all that still have work to do
