Pretty much. @wildguy57 Some SAT subject tests, like the Spanish test, can be used for college Spanish class placement.
@DancingwithStars It’s best to do Math Level 2, once you’ve taken Trigonometry.

@TP2000 Thanks. I’ll probably take all my tests December/June of Junior year, so I won’t have to deal with deadlines. If I forgot everything by December for the world exam, I don’t think it would be a problem to take US History in June right after the AP exam instead. CB can lick my feet bc of the $7 score report fee. I’m pretty sure I’m applying to more than 4 schools. Do we send an official copy with every application? I have no idea how that mess works out. Never mind, I just read that I get 8 free score reports with a fee waiver. Hallelujah!
@wildguy57 Some schools and majors require them.
I didn’t realize how much testing you have to get done Junior year! Really, how does CB call themselves a non-profit?! I remember pitying the Juniors who were going through this and all of a sudden I’ve time traveled to become the pitied Junior!
not need to send all of your AP scores to all of the schools you apply to, just the one you matriculate, or attend. Meaning you’ll only need to send your scores to the school you decide to go to. It makes sense as the school you go to will be the ones giving you the credit for the exams.
Also, I’ve literally been saying that about The College Board for months. However, I’ve actually thought about it little, and I’ve realized, for the most part, they actually are a non-profit organization. I thought about where all the money goes and then I remembered something important. The National Merit Scholarships! 8,000 juniors are awarded the $2,500 scholarship meaning The College Board generously gives away $20,000,000. If they really are a non-profit organization, that technically means they can make a profit at first, but have to give all of that profit away.
So in theory, all of that money that students’ parents are paying for AP tests, SAT Subject Tests, and SATs are helping to pay a little bit off someone’s college tuition. If realizing that you’re likely paying off someone’s tuition, and not your own, doesn’t make you want to be a NMF, I don’t know what will.
@Hamlon im taking the physics subject test next spring but i’m taking a full year of colege clac based physkcs first so ill be finee
@Ak2018 thats a nice throught, but the college board and national merit orgniasations are separate so the college board is just greedy
oh okay
wait what classes are you guys taking next year lol?
I’ve explained this already, but I’m taking all my classes at a local univerisity.

Spanish 4 H
AP chem and AP Bio is that not a bit too much (not saying you should not do it), but at my school they tell us to do like only one of the AP science class out of AP Bio and AP Chem in junior year. Do colleges care if you take AP Bio or AP chem in junior year or senior year?

Not final yet, but:
I also just requested a copy of Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer from the public library system to our library. It should be here on Friday… My dad says we’ll be able to get me my own copy, once we have a little more money. We just recently spent a lot of money, so you know how that is. You have to ask your parents at the right time. Even though we can’t buy the book right now, so I could annotate it, I’m still going to start reading it. I’ve decided that if I read 20 pages a day and start on Friday, I’ll finish it on Monday, June 27th, the day I start summer school. Once I get my own copy, I’ll fill in my annotations. If I read 15 pages a day, I’ll finish it on July 1st.
Here’s mine:
AP Calc BC
AP Lang &Comp
AP Chem
APUSH
Treble Choir
French 3
Oddly enough, I’M REALLY EXCITED FOR NEXT YEAR’S SCHEDULE!!!
Mine:
Honors Precalc
AP Lang
AP Comp Sci
AP Stats
AP Bio
Intro to Politics (dual enrollment)
German 2
What do you guys think I should do for the 2nd semester since my college class is only one semester long? I could take another college class or AP Psych, or I could just leave that spot empty to make time for the numerous exams I’ll have that semester.
I’m scared but excited for next year. I’ll have to worry more about the ACT/SAT, subject tests, college, extracurricular activities, scholarships, grades, AP exams, etc., but at least I’ll enjoy most of my classes and I’ll possibly make some friends at college. I also have that tutoring thing and, with my license that I’ll get early 2017, more volunteering!
Speaking of my license, I still haven’t taken my permit test. I was supposed to do that on May 31st, but I didn’t study. I still haven’t studied. Someone please kick me and force me to study.
AP Calc AB/BC (daily)
AP Lang
AP Physics 1
H World History
H Contemporary Voices (1 semester)
H Comp Sci Java Programming (1semster)
Astronomy (1 semester)
Dance for Athletes 2-4 (1 semester)
AP Study Hall (required)
Or
AP Calc AB/BC (daily)
AP Lang
AP Physics 1
H World History
AP Comp Sci Principles
H Comp Sci Java Programming (1semster)
Astronomy (1 semester)
AP Study Hall (required)
I’m not sure if I can handle basically a 5th AP because my school’s Calc AB/BC class is super hard.
@neptuna , if I were you, I would make them semester 2 decision based on ACT/SAT scores and how much improvement they need. But psychology is an easier AP. And you should study for your permit test. I’m might be there only one on here who willingly gasp is not volunteering. I totally am for helping others, butI haven’t found something I find meaningful and enjoyable.
Also… did you guys notice studying = stuDYING???
@DaEmmJay23 I vote for option one. Contemporary voice and dance seem interesting!
Oh this is actually the order of my schedule
AP English Language
Computer Programming
trigonometry/precalc
Spanish 3
piano 1
AP physics 1
Economics/AP macro
*online civics for semester 1
Random thoughts: I’m tired, I should be more disciplined , but I’m not as lazy as I was last summer.
