I love APUSH! The only problem for me is AP Language. I always find english classes to be my hardest ones (just look at my PSAT score. lol). I got a 56 on a vocab quiz this morning (I didn’t study too much) and now I have a C-.
My Grades
AP Bio - 79% - C+
Missed one question on a quiz and it brought my grade down. It’s only the first assignment so hopefully I can boost it after a few weeks
AP Lang - 96% - A
Really easy class so far.
Photography - N/A
I’ve turned in some assignments but the teachers hasn’t put anything in the system yet
Honors American Govt - 92% - A
SO MUCH NOTES! Not that the actual material is hard, but organizing and memorizing everything is confusing. There’s a lot to go through since it’s a semester course.
Honors Precalculus - 83% - B
Got some questions wrong about functions and inverse. I’ve forgot some stuff from Algebra II so we’re reviewing things.
Spanish III - 98% - A
Review from previous Spanish classes. Pretty chill class.
@LeopardFire That is funny, PM me her name I probs know her.
School has been rough y’all, crappy day today.
- Was told to re-write History essay.
- Got a C on both of my English assignments (quiz and a test)
- Lost 7-1 in soccer game.
Positives:
- I probably got a high grade on today’s English quiz.
- I was the one who scored the single goal for our team.
school is not exactly the best.
negatives:
- have a C in AP Bio. (I hate the teacher so much; she doesn’t even grade the work. Every day, she has us, the students grade the assignments. Her directions are confusing and she does not teach biology. She also goes off topic so much.)
- I got a 1/4 on AP Chem quiz today
- I got a F on AP Chem test
Positives:
- AP Bio grade will go up, because I got a perfect score on my FRQ and did well on my worksheets and lab today.
- I can retake my AP Chem test
- Aced my APUSH test
- I got a 8/9 on an AP Lang essay
- I have an A- in precalc
- Club day is tomorrow! I can sign up for all my fav clubs
- Research on bacterium is going well
@Marg532 @ks2018 @LeopardFire I definitely agree with the notion that APUSH is brutal. I was talking to some friends in my AP Lang class who are taking APUSH and they their teacher literally gave them 60 PAGES of textbook reading with a quiz on the reading the next class. I honestly thought that was crazy and it gave me confirmation that it was definitely a good idea that I didn’t take APUSH. That and the only teacher who teaches APUSH at our school kind of creeps me out.
@snowfairy137 I literally laughed at that analogy for a good couple seconds! :)) Thanks for the laugh.
@Marg532 Your WHAP teacher sounds great!
YOU GUYS I JUST GOT A 36 ON MY ACT OMMGGGG I’M HYPERVENTALATING AHHHH
@snowfairy137 AWESOMEEEEEE JOBBB!!!
Today was pretty great:
Spanish 2: I forgot that homework isn’t a grade in this class anymore, so I actually do have an 89% (a B+) in Spanish. But it’s definitely going up.
Math: I felt like I did pretty well on my Pre-Calc test. We’re starting our unit on Polynomials next and I’m not looking forward to it. After the test, we were given a worksheet on Factoring Polynomials review. Factoring polynomials makes my head hurt.
AP Lang: I finally finished my summer book essay!
U.S. and Virginia History: I took my Unit 1 Test and got a 98% on it. Then we just played on the computers until the end of class.
they came out already is it out for the pacific time zone
@snowfairy137 GREAT JOB! <:-P <:-P <:-P <:-P <:-P <:-P <:-P <:-P <:-P
All times zones, it comes out at midnight CT. But yes, 10PM for us (I’m assuming you’re also pacific)
Call me crazy, but today I also decided that I was going to retake the test I took in U.S. History. My teacher looked at me like I was crazy because my 98% tied me with two other people for the highest score in class. I said, “Yeah, I know. I’m such a perfectionist.” And I also want to go ahead and try to get the highest score. It literally took me 10 minutes to take the test and it was pretty easy for me.
I also have a couple goals for the year:
- Pass all of my math tests with an A. Take advantage of the re-take policy in order to do so.
- Pass all of my Spanish 2 tests with an A. (This is pretty easy as we only have 5 tests this entire year.)
- Pass all of my U.S. History tests with an A. (Preferably a high A.)
@snowfairy137 congratulations and yes I am pacific I am not taking pacific but a lot of my friends are.
@snowfairy137 none of my friends got their results ah i feel their anxiousness LOL
dats so weird i have 6 friends and no one got their scores back yet
@BucketsUCSC Maybe there was a problem at your friends’ test center?
Hey guys! I’m back!!! This year I decided to change my study habits so that I would know how to study correctly in college. Its actually going pretty well! Last year I didn’t even open a textbook, I just tried to wing it by listening in class.
So far, I like all of my classes except AP Calc and Chem.
Here is an overview of my classes:
AP Lang- 97% - A
Pretty fun class, we’ve read 4 books since the school year started, but I actually am enjoying the dystopian unit.
AP Psych- 95% - A
The concepts are pretty cool, just a lot of reading.
AP Calc- 85% - A
I understand what we are learning, but whenever we take a test I get stressed to the point where I start mixing up concepts.
AP Environmental- 99% - A
I love learning about how can live in a sustainable way in order for future generations to be able to have the resources that we have. I hate that many students take the class because they believe that it will be an easy A (some people even sleep through the lectures!). My teacher loves environmental science which allows him to explain things better during the lectures. We took our first unit test the other day and some people were absent so my teacher allowed them to take the test in the hall while he taught a lesson. The only problem was that he didn’t ask for their phones! If the people who haven’t read any chapters out of the book and sleep through the lectures get an A, I’m going to freak!!!
Spanish 3: 93% - A
I like learning different languages but this year it feels like everything is going over my head. This class is primarily speaking and listening, but I need to see something written down in order to fully comprehend it.
Pre-AP Chemistry - 99% - A
My school has the worst chem teachers. My teacher does NOT teach. She makes us do 1 lab a week and then she half way explains it. You have to read the book in order to get an A.
AP Seminar- 90% - A
I take this class after school. I am taking it because I want to become a better writer, but the teacher just tells us to write an essay and then he grades us. I suppose I am becoming a better writer, but I would like to thank google essay outlines and myself for all the hard work.
Ughhhh I got another 30!! I hate this!
I seriously took 100 practice tests and got 32+
I’ll put my new subscores and my old ones in parentheses
English: 35 (32)
Math: 29 (27)
Reading: 30 (30)
Science: 27 (29)
So now I have a 31 superscore but ughhhh this is just not okay. How did I go down in science?!?!?
