@Queenbee1144 What is the prompt

@ak2018 @snowfairy137 I’m taking government online right now, and I always turn everything in on time. I used to think that if I didn’t I wouldn’t be able to get credit, but turns out it’s for deducted credit. This sort of created a routine of doing things on time, and it works for me.

My art teacher used to have no deadlines, but after he imposed them, every one worked more diligently.

Should I take AP Psych or WHAP?

I took school-required World History as a freshman, and I did well. I just want to take the AP class because I think it would be interesting to learn history of various places in various times in depth and history just seems more interesting to take in high school than college. But...I'm also interested in psychology in general, and really enjoy reading books in psychology. I plan to take APs in Lit, Calc, and Bio, and from what I know, Psych is easier at my school.

Do any of you have pets? I don’t, and I know this question is really random.

Me at 1pm: I’ll take a quick nap and then do ALL OF MY HOMEWORK
Me now: ****

So I feel like an idiot because I finally got up to a 90 in Chem, and I think I’ve done really well on the last few tests and quizzes, but I forgot to submit a homework assignment online that I already completed and if this knocks me down a lot I don’t know what I’m going to do probably cry

@bubblylaugh Based on your other AP’s, I’d take AP Psych for the sake of having a lighter load.

I have a cat, his name is Patrick and he is my precious son, the light of my life, the reason I get up in the morning (literally he scratches my door and jumps on my bed when he wants his breakfast it is really annoying but I love him so)

@snowfairy137 Where did you meet him?

I’ll probably spend about 5 hours a weekend on it. Students in the program average about 10 hours per module. One module take two weeks to complete. I believe the course will be made up of assigned article reading, simulations, watching videos, and participating in online discussions with your online class. Along the way, we’ll have to do case study analyses, technology design activities, content-related math/physics problems, quizzes, participation in online discussions, and technical writing reports. If selected for the summer academy, you’ll have to work on a final scientific report. They also said that participating in the online course, and doing well, will give you 2 college credits and going to the summer academy will give you another 2 credits. The fact that I’ll be getting any credit will be phenomenal.

I was also checking on how we’d submit our work, and our website said that we’ll be submitting our work in the specific module folder and we’ll receive feedback on our work within a week. We can also resubmit our work if it’s not that good. There will also be a late grade penalty for every day your work is late, which will be pretty interesting, lol. You will also be kicked out if you are more than a month behind.

Did you already finish the application? The app, for us, ends at 11:55pm tonight.

I just got my Thomas Nelson Community College student ID number and password to enter the course once it starts, so it looks like I’m in!

@LeopardFire Same about the online assignments. Has anyone seen more of their teachers start using Google Classroom? One thing that annoys me is that it doesn’t automatically submit your work once the deadline passses because you have to press “turn in.” I forgot to press it once even though I had the assignment finished for the past 3 days.

@bubblylaugh Yeah. I feel like I’d do okay to a point, I would just have to make sue procrastination won’t kill me.

I would take AP Pysch. I also don’t have any pets, but I would either want a small, calm puppy or goldfish :)) Dogs that aren’t on leashes scare me! I was actually almost bitten by two small dogs on Tuesday when they saw me walking down the sidewalk. They weren’t behind the fence either. I don’t know why the dogs in my neighborhood don’t like me.

I also don’t have school tomorrow or Tuesday as well as Friday of this week! :)) LOL I only have a two-day school week.

@ak2018 You my friend, are very lucky! lol

@apple1893 Yup! I have a lot to do this weekend!

So I just finished watching The Spectacular Now and I have to say it was the best movie I’ve seen in a while! I really loved the movie’s general theme of living in the now, but also having a future! I’d give it a 9.75/10.!

It reminds me so much of Catcher in the Rye! I would highly recommend watching it!

@Queenbee1144 Look up the issues with the Articles of Confederation and mention the Bill of Rights.

Ahh I don’t want to go to school tomorrow

@thenorthstar I don’t want to go today either.

I’ve been thinking about my life goals in general and I always dream about working w/ some sort of non-profit. I don’t think my parents would be happy about that though because they want me to be more successful/secure than they were, but I just don’t care about money. I don’t want to have the salary of a “starving-artist”, but I also don’t want to be a multi-million dollar exec. I don’t even know what I’d major in for college. I like the idea of becoming one of those lawyers(ACLU type) that help liberate the innocent or being a medical researcher or being a software engineer that tries to make technology more available or a social worker or even a (god forbid) politician if I can make a positive difference for the voiceless. I’m honestly confused and don’t even know if I’m being realistic. I’m actually reminded of a friend who told me “I can’t save everyone” because it’s something I constantly try to do by giving people advice or helping them navigate problems. It’s my nature and I can’t help it. I try to take care of others more than myself and I think it’s my biggest flaw. I could be the most unfortunate person on the planet and still share my last piece of bread w/ someone because I idek. I’m scared I’m just going to drift through college w/out having an idea of what I like to do. I’m one of those people who tend to get really fidgety doing the same thing for too long and that isn’t a good trait if you want to have any semblance of stability/accomplishment?

@Hamlon Whatever you plan to do, it’ll definitely be something great!

@ak2018 he was on my robotics team but he graduated and went to college haha

@snowfairy137 Oh. That would definitely suck.

@ak2018 yepp. Counting down till winter break lol.

So on Satuday my FRC team is going to a off season competition and apperently they’re recognizing seniors and mentors. However, we have no seniors sooo… we’re sending the juniors up instead lol.
