How did everyone this APUSH was? I personally felt it was really easy, except for 1 short answer, and I feel like I will get at least a 4 possibly a 5.
@madison2000 It was better than I thought it would be, seeing that I was able to at least attempt to answer everything. I didn’t realize there were 4 short answer questions instead of 2 until I had only 10 minutes left in that section, though, so I think that may have killed my chances for a 4. orz
On the bright side, I feel good about AP Lang next Wednesday. I’m happy it isn’t really the type of test you have to study for.
Who’s taking the SAT tomorrow?
I think it ended up being too easy and that I failed. Either that or I did well. I’ll find out in July.
I think I should study a little for Lang, I just don’t know how. I’ll probably study rhetorical terms or something. Other than that it’s just hoping for the best.
Good luck to anyone taking the sat tomorrow. I’m completely dead after taking the APUSH exam, I can’t imagine taking another stressful test tomorrow.
What do you mean you failed because it was too easy? @frazzledazzle
Decided to start my CommonApp essay right now and it’ll be on how I made dogecoin.com (hence profile pic)! It’s the only unique thing going for me so I hope it’s a good topic :))
@acomfysofa omg wait you created the concept and website?!! I just looked up the website and it seems pretty big and fancy. that youtube video seems pro and the website is well coded
that’s amazing!
@LushLillies Thanks! I made the website (markup, HTML; design, a brain; images, Photoshop; and code, Javascript) but not the videos/concept, however I cooperated with the /r/dogecoin reddit community and the creator of Dogecoin to make it
Two separate talented people made those two YouTube videos (and I put them in), and Jackson Palmer created Dogecoin by getting the source code of Bitcoin or Litecoin and adding some tweaks and the picture in my profile picture.
I’m hoping it’s a known thing! It was pretty big in 2013 - 2014. Also made the website for DogecoinFoundation, and they raised about $32,000 for charity: water. And there was the Dogecoin racecar at NASCAR (no joke look it up lol)
Also apparently a Harvard student used their 14,000-core research supercomputer to mine Dogecoin before it was shutdown. Hope it doesn’t get a bad rep there :))
@FutureMathLegend Usually when I take tests and think they’re really easy I don’t do well. It’s happened with math tests a lot in the past. Last year I thought I was golden after the AP Biology exam. I got a 5 on the in-class practice exam and 4s on the Barron’s book practice exams. I thought I did really well on test day. I got a 3.
@acomfysofa It’s a great website!
Guess who is going to take a free class at Lehigh during senior year! I’m so happy I got in. I’m super excited to take college courses on an actual college campus, especially for free. I wasn’t sure if I would get in, but coming home from work to that email was amazing. I’m so happy.
I finally decided to stop procrastinating and I’m gonna take the written drivers test for a permit tomorrow. Wish me luck!
I saw this question posted on the common application blog with no response and I have the same situation so I would appreciate if anyone here can share your thoughts:
How to list Dual Enrollment courses taken at university for credit at both high school and college during the summer
“I am a high-school junior and this summer I plan to take some dual enrollment classes at local college. Can I list them in the Current Year Courses section in Common App in my senior year since my counselor says that summer after junior year count to senior year?”
You’ll have to list the college in the common app and send your official college transcripts. As for listing it as part of your senior schedule, if your counselor says the summer counts then sure. I don’t think it would make a difference if you didn’t though.
The class I took the summer before freshman year (although it wasn’t DC) counted as a 9th grade course, so I assume yours will be the same way. @Volunteerism
Thanks @snowfairy137 and @Hamlon for quick response.
Hamlon
The common app will only show semesters so did your summer class get listed as semester 1 on your 9th grade transcript?
I also have a question about the common app. It only allows us to list 15 AP classes, but I would’ve taken 16, so would I just leave one class off. I just don’t want to look dishonest and make it seem like I am trying to hide certain ap scores that might look bad.
So per my Matriculate advisor’s request, I added some reach schools to my list. It’s still a work in progress, but it’s getting better. I honestly just put some straight-up miracles on here knowing that engineering is going to be uber-competitive at these schools, but then again, getting into STEM majors at colleges is much harder nowadays with everybody and “they mother” trying to be scientists and engineers. It’s kind of funny how even with the whole NASA Intern thing in my future, I’m still looking for some pretty okay schools, even though all I need to do is get into and graduate from college because I pretty much already have an engineering career waiting for me at two different places. So this list is definitely going below 10 by September. In terms of fit, my SAT score should be saved by SAMS and raised to about 1400 and my GPA situation is out of my control, so yeah.

@Tobster18 You’re taking 16 senior year? I’d just put it in additional info.
