My last day of school (classes, not regents) is tomorrow and I’m currently procrastinating on 2 assignments lol my last procrastinations of the year! Talk about SNHC lol I’m the only participant!

Hey Guys! Yesterday was so fun! I got to the NOVEC office, my parents dropped me off, and we drove down to Arlington to our hotel, got some pizza before, and went to our conference room. We were put with everyone from Maryland, Virginia, Deleware for orientation and did some icebreakers and won some prizes. I got a selfie stick and meet some really good friends already. After that, we went to our rooms and sat around with my roommates and we got along pretty well. We went out to dinner, and then went out on a yacht cruise on the Potomac River. I partied so hard!!! We got back to our rooms at like 10pm and I took a shower and slept. I’m now currently in the middle of hearing speeches and am on my way to the White House and see “The Donald”.

That wording makes it sound like a zoo though. Like here kids let’s go visit the white house where we can see many exotic species like the rare orange corn-haired Donald.
No matter who is in the office I think it is a very exciting experience to go to the White House. I personally wasn’t a fan of the person in the White House when I visited a while back but none the less it was a great time. I would actually love to go back to Washington DC, partly due to the last time I was there it was during a government shut down and I didn’t get to see half of the things I wanted.

I think something’s wrong with KhanAcademy’s SAT practice, I did a Level 4 Social Studies passage and got all the questions correct 
College essay prompts are coming out and I’m not ready y’all
uchicago just came out and i’m excited and also v nervous because it’s my first choice
So I’ve looked at National merit scholar full tuition scholarships and I’m really liking Texas A&M, UT Dallas, and University of Oklahoma! I really hope that I’ll be able to “stack” some additional merit scholarships on top of this to make it a full ride, assuming of course that I made national merit semifinalist. I just found out that only 4 people from my district made it last year so now I’m really nervous. People from my school typically don’t get these kind of awards/honors unless they are part of the IB program(I am not.)
I am going to continue to research national merit full tuition scholarships along with some other full tuition merit scholarships and hope for the best! Thanks guys for such wonderful suggestions!!

I am really new to the college admissions process since I just moved in from India. Can anyone please share your expected timeline describing as to how you planned your application. I just need a general idea as to when should I start gathering recommendations or write essays or fillin common app or start writing specific college app/essays.
I have taken SAT sat SAT 2.
@ak2018 Try to take a candid of him! I saw him when he came to my town while campaigning (with Sessions and Rudy Guilliani). He thanked my friends and me for being there (I was terrified because the GOP is scary and wants to take away my rights). The Trumpster came to my state a total of three times. Loads of people hated him being here.
Are any of you guys still in school for the year? Today was my last day of classes and I have finals through Friday.
This is mine, I am very type A and need a schedule for everything. I created a written calendar of when everything is due for all of my applications.
June-Ask for LOR
July/August-Spend an hour a week on essays, study for ACT
August- Possibly take SAT again, Fill out Common App
Sept.-Take ACT Again
Oct.-Submit 1st College App Due, FAFSA opens
Oct thru Jan-Submit the rest of the applications
Between all of this I plan on applying to scholarships and visiting schools.
I only plan on applying EA to all of the schools, I really don’t want to wait.

Hey guys anyone know which schools already have their supplemental essay prompts out for next year / when most schools release them?
@APUSHME I think most schools release the supplements in August. I know MIT does that when they open MyMIT and I think the CommonApp does that when it reopens in August.
@APUSHME The only ones I know of that release early are Georgetown and UChicago. Everything else is released in August I believe, and that includes MIT.
