Looking at the results from last year, it seems to be rolling. The kids who submitted it early with the highest test scores and GPA (usually high enough to qualify for merit scholarships, from what I’ve seen) get their results sometime around November, because they don’t have to wait to see the rest of the applicant pool to know that those scores are high enough to clear the cutoff no matter what. @frazzledazzle
@writergirl0316 That’s good to know! I think I might end up applying mid-December when my new SAT Subject Test scores are in. But rolling is good. I won’t have to wait until late March like I have to for every other school.
@acomfysofa I’m applying to MIT, Caltech, and 3 Ivies even though the people on this forum grilled me for wanting to go to Caltech sophomore year. Idgaf and I’m remaining positive about the process and am working to be a competitive applicant this winter. The sky’s the limit!
do college essays get easier after you finish the first few schools. i just finished 2 colleges and feel intellectually drained of all the unique ideas i think i’ll ever have.
@thetex I think they do simply because I’ve found I can reuse essays or the concepts from those essays
@writergirl0316 I just submitted my app today! I’m also interested in writing, but I feel like my essays were very subpar…

Decisions start to be released based on students’ origin. For US applicants they will start mid-December.

Students who are significantly above the minima will hear first.
@TomSrOfBoston Good to know. Thank you!
Submitted to Yale, McGill and Binghamton! Wow. I can’t believe I just did that.
I’m not ready for ED/EA so I’m doing RD
My school is having a costume day for Halloween because apparently we’re 9.
…
I’m gonna be a cowboy.
Tomorrow is senior dress-up day! I’m going as a newspaper delivery girl lol.
My AP English teacher made this project due tomorrow. She was out today and yesterday, and now I’m trying to write the essay, but I’m so confused. The instructions and the rubric are saying two completely different things. We had to email her multiple times about the project because she did not explain it well at all. Ugh.
QuestBridge is so stressful. I didn’t think that I would get accepted, so I did not prepare to apply to 7 schools by Nov. 1st.
@aspiringgirl I feel the same way. I’ve just been eating stress for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The feeling of turning your essay in at 4:15 AM is sort of relieving, and then you realize you have an AP Bio test tomorrow you haven’t studied for.
I’m in for a long day.
I’m so stressed about my admission decision. I feel worse than I felt while writing the essays. I just want to KNOW.
Can someone read one of my essays? I don’t know how I feel about it. It’s for Princeton btw
@myan22 Sure im free now
