High School Class of 2018

@pastelrain Congrats!!! That’s awesome! :slight_smile:

This girl just asked for a letter of recommendation for Wednesday… oh my god. Teacher accepted, but why wait that long?

Anyway, are any of you familiar with LA? I’ll have like 2-3 days to explore next month and I’m looking for some good (cheap) places to visit and eat.

@carmen00 If you’re not from the west, you absolutely must go to in-n-out burger

@ski_racer I’ve never been to in-n-out (Mainer woot woot). Definitely on my bucket list for when I go to California (hopefully this spring if I get into Caltech).

Guys go read the clam fart thread on here. It’s from like 2008 and I saw it referenced in another thread but I almost peed my pants laughing.

@ski_racer in-n-out is overrated. shake shack forever.

@18college1111 but it only takes me 5 hours to get to in-n-out if I step on it… the nearest shake shack is 10 hours

@18college1111 I am very passionate about this because I don’t think In N Out and Shake Shack are comparable. The quality may be similar but Shake Shack loses very heavily in the price department. I can spend 7 dollars on a meal at an In N Out and get a ton of great food. To get a burger, fries, and drink at Shake Shack would put me closer to 12. I have never felt like I’ve gotten my money’s worth at a shake shack, and I doubt I ever will.

Finally a second semester senior over here! Still waiting for final ranks (they calculate after first semester for graduation), but I should be good.

On hold for CSS Profile assistance and they’ve got the worst elevator music ever! I heard MJ’s Pretty Young Thing earlier… But I have musical practice in a half hour and that’s when they estimated that I’ll be put on a line… Freaking out haha it’s due tomorrow!

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh

@ski_racer Last time I was out in California I tried in-n-out. Unfortunately, I wasn’t a big fan of their burgers, but I liked their shakes!

Final grades:

Personal Finance - A
German III - A
Introduction to Graphic Design - A
AP English Literature & Composition - C
AP Calculus BC - A
Peer Tutoring - Pass
Anatomy and Physiology - A+

The first time in my entire high school career that I’ve gotten a grade less than an A. It’s kind of weird because I used to panic over the possibility of getting an A- and now I couldn’t care less that there’s a C on my transcript. Maybe it has something to do with being a senior and just wanting to be done with school.

Completly stressed and bummed out. I wish I had a dream college to go to, but here I am on the last day of January trying to apply to colleges because I cannot find one that will support me financially and have my major. :’(

Does anyone else procrastinate on homework with other homework? Like, I hate doing my reading for American Foreign Policy, so instead I do my hw for Economics, Stars, and English.

The class itself is interesting, but when you have so much reading, you don’t want to do any of it. It takes like an hour to read each chapter, and we have about 9 chapters a week. After reading one chapter, I don’t want to do any more. I can’t wait for this class to be over, and it’s literally only the second week of it.

I’m a week behind on my readings, but I am caught up on all of my other classes …

Is anyone here appealing decisions to their schools?

@carmen00 I always do math and physics that’s due in a week before I do an english essay due the next day. Really wish I didn’t do that lol

Hi! I’m new here! I’m kind of lazy to go through all 944 pages but what colleges are you all applying to?

Super Bowl tonight!! Who’s watching? Personally I’m rooting for the Eagles, Brady’s won too many times :))

Yeah, definitely the Eagles!!!
