High School Class of 2018

@ak2018 It’s ironic since I hate roller coasters. I like the astronomy part of the space thing. I don’t think doing engineering as a profession would be the best for me. I just think having a knowledge of it would be good for what I want to do in life - so minoring in it would be useful while still majoring in astronomy and music.

That’s actually what I was going to say, somewhat @frazzledazzle ! Engineering in general would be a great minor. I would love to potentially learn about music, but fear I won’t have the time. I played the violin when I was in the 6th grade and loved it. I never knew why ever decided to switch to choir. I honestly miss playing the violin and wish I had more time to do so.

@ak2018 are you gonna try to summerschool a math class because not having Calculus would be a big negative especially for engineering

and @ak2018 how are you looking to major in all these stem related fields yet you failed your geometry final anything is possible but are you sure you’re going to succeed in engineering if you are struggling with geometry. How will you feel after calculus

@BucketsUCSC I am taking Calculus senior year and am currently in Algebra II. I actually tested out of Geometry last summer, but I was given the placement test instead of the end of course test. I’m retaking the end of course test in January because I was one question away from passing. Ironically, had I just answered the last few questions logically and not just literally rushing and guessing, I would’ve passed. But give me a break. I took the test on a Monday morning after I almost overslept. And I’m actually pretty good at Geometry, but at my school most of the teachers are terrible at teaching it. I honestly hate Geometry and prefer Algebra or Algebra II. Also, I haven’t studied Geometry since I took the placement test, which I thought was end of course test, which I took in July. I had two weeks to restudy about a year’s worth of Geometry for the retake and I was studying until 2am on Monday, which was probably why I overslept. Anyways, as I had previously stated, it doesn’t matter if I fail or pass the test. I had an A as an end of year grade in Geometry and that is all the college’s will ever see.

@ak2018 Okay! It’s never too late to play again!

@frazzledazzle You’re right. Maybe the summer after I graduate would be a great to get back at it.

   Happy Holidays to anyone celebrating

@BucketsUCSC How is your comment going to help anyone? You don’t know the reason the person didn’t do well. Anyone can wake up one day and achieve anything they want.

@frazzledazzle What text book do you use for AP BIO ? I would love to self study it. I haven’t decided what textbook to buy. Just wondering what is pace you go also?

Merry Christmas y’all!!!

@Kelvin82 @ak2018 @frazzledazzle Sorry for not responding! I was super busy yesterday!!! I’m going to create a direct message with y’all in it in a minute so I can post it. I’m warning you; It’s not all that good though!

@BucketsUCSC Be nice :wink:

@ak2018 @frazzledazzle I would love to do a minor in biomedical engineering because usually engineering majors have so many requirements. I’d love to dabble in it because I think it’s interesting and like y’all said useful, especially in medical research

@Madeline25 I want to see to. I should have said sooner.

@Tedalkfan No problem! Just sent it to you!

Thanks for the pictures @Madeline25 ! I actually think, however, I think I might have found the College Scholarship Jackpot!

Take a look:

@ak2018 Oh my goodness! =P~ Yeah mine was more me going through data bases and finding the ones I would personally like to apply to, but that’s way better than mine. Thanks for sharing!
(Side note: You’re not technically supposed to link to outside website. Just don’t want anyone to get in trouble!)

Oh I didn’t know that, :)) Oh well! Lol @Madeline25 And you’re welcome too

Thanks you all.

just to inform everyone I was elected president of college admissions club at our school where kids just discuss scholarships, articles, and more. I was voted president as a SOPHOMORE not because people like me but because they start to realize how helpful my realistic advice is in contrast to everyone’s BS and how I actually help them by forcing them to step up their game which is why they thought I would be best fit for president. I am so frank also because of my friends if I do bad on a test they’ll be the first one to tell me you better not get a B in both these classes or you can kiss college X or college Y goodbye. Trust me I do have friends that support me but it is important to have balance in life. @ak2018 I thought you were in geometry because thats what you said over the summer, and I don’t know you and there are plenty of kids in my club who state they want to do engineering but struggle in math until I give them constructive criticism on their choice to allow them to look at a wider variety of options, I shouldn’t have grouped you into that,

Well thank you @BucketsUCSC !

@BucketsUCSC I was pissed when typing but after second read at what I wrote I thought it wasn’t how I want to come of. I was going through stuff (one denial that I was taking H. algebra 1, H.Geometry and H.Algebra 2 and even now HOW Fing slow can class move) at home too. So when you tell some one this and that, and the person is someone that wants to take themselves somewhere it is angering. It is good to know you meant it from good place though.

@BucketsUCSC I went back and read the posts as well and somehow my brain screwed up in processing it. I didn’t catch the meaning of it properly. I’m sorry for my response.
