High School Class of 2019

Idk if this is a good schedule for a sophomore but…

Algebra 2 Honors
Biology Honors
United States History 1 Honors
Geometry CP
English 2 CP

I’m 1 year behind in science, as I took Environmental Science CP instead of the majority who took Biology, so most kids are now in Chemistry CP/Honors and some kids are even in AP Biology/Chemistry/Physics as a sophomore.

I know a guy who’s taking:
AP Chem
AP Euro
H Algebra 2
H Geometry
H English 2
and then another class, idk what

And he’s at the climbing gym about 12-15 hours a week…

That’s a great schedule, @johnd2001. It’s fine that you took Environmental Science freshman year. Overall, though, a good schedule is determined in the context of your school, so it depends on how many others have similar schedules, harder schedules, easier, etc. IMO, it’s a well-balanced schedule.

Hey guys!

Like @Mathophile26 said it all depends on what course loads your peers took and other variables but it looks pretty good to me also!

Speaking of planners, I bought one in the beginning of freshman year in an attempt to be more organised.
Anyway it was used for about a week before it was forgotten about in my locker until I took it out the last day of school.

Most of the reason being that my teachers gave crazy amounts of homework and writing it down was a waste since I never looked at it and just used sticky notes to remember anyway much like @awesomepolyglot .

ugh yes I feel you @Chunkypepe

I just had a special place in my backpack to put all my unfinished papers. I’d take them out and do whatever happened to be on top!

@OMPursuit

My german teacher gave sooo many handouts so that’s especially true for that class for me. I still have some of her handouts. But other than that I don’t get too many handout/worksheets. I go to a tech/magnet school so everything is primarily online. Except for all of the math classes and the teachers that prefer to use paper that handout textbooks also.

@Chunkypepe What level of German are you taking? I’m taking Honors 3 this year.

My AP Bio teacher just said basically “get whatever you can take notes in” yeet no required and overcomplicated yet fruitless organizing schemes

@awesomepolyglot Honors German 2.

German isn’t the most ‘popular choice’ of many students at my school. They all packed into French and Spanish. Spanish is already my first language and I communicate pretty well with my family and other hispanics so I didn’t really see the need in taking it as my high school language. Plus I wanted to learn about German culture and language. I wasn’t really into the idea of taking french. As a result of that, my German class is pretty small but fun.

All the teachers at my school are like that. You basically have to learn to carry your own weight although they give lots of help and explain things to those who ask. No homework, note-taking, tests, quiz, etc. reminders. That’s all on each individual student. And if you can’t keep your grades up they boot you out into one of our local high schools (Unfortunately, I know a couple of people who will not be coming back next year). So time management is HUGE.

Ooh, a magnet school. I have a friend who goes to TJ.

@awesomepolyglot Yep, you got it. That’s pretty cool to be going to a school of that caliber. I certainly would say my school is not well-known as it’s just approaching it’s toddler years since it has only been up for about 3 or 4 years. Although, I do find myself being challenged and that’s definitely one thing I like the most about it.

Anyway, what are all of your favorite shows?

I’m a fan of comedy’s and action shows so Revenge,Supernatural, and That 70’s Show are pretty high up on my list.

SU and RWBY :)>-

I’m kind of not really allowed to watch a lot of stuff and I don’t have Netflix so

Steven Universe is cool. It’s fun to watch.

That must suck. I actually don’t have Netflix either (we’re a strange species today). I usually voluntarily don’t watch stuff during the school year but it’s nice when you have those moments where you can relax with your favorite show for a few minutes.

I love doctor who, Sherlock, supernatural (probably gonna stop watching that one though, season 11 finale sucked), the flash, and especially Gravity Falls!!

Favorite movies, anyone? I love Star Wars and Airplane!

Eh, it was eh. I’m still gonna keep watching. Another one that I personally like is Stitchers on ABC family.

I’m really into spiritual ghost movies for some reason so my top two favorite movies are The Lovely Bones and The Invisible. Next to those is Harry Potter, Mr. Right, a few old Disney movies, etc.

I love Quantico, The Blacklist, Blindspot, Big Brother, Survivor, Gravity Falls was a fave also ugh yess AND I CAN’T WAIT FOR SCREAM QUEENS THIS FALL ^:)^

I’ve been meaning to watch Quantico but i’m rewatching American Horror Story to prep for the new season this october.

Is it good?

I loved the first season of AHS, but the second lost me! @Chunkypepe yesyes The Lovely Bones was excellent
I’m a fan of horror movies, scifi, and especially schlocky horror-scifi >.>

I’m also a fan of artsy movies with good sound design >.>;

I finished Stranger Things the other day on Netflix, and it was… great! I saw a bit of Orange is the New Black recently.
I kicked off the summer by just… watching all of Steven Universe. I should’ve spread it out… p.p
