High School Class of 2019

Just to clarify, the first quarter doesn’t end on Fall break. p.p
No- that would be too easy. That’d make too much sense.

omg i got 12/12 on my first chem quiz  only two people got 12s.

it was on dimensional analysis but it was hard as heck

We covered dimensional analysis in two seconds but it’s so logical if you think about it lol.

Chemistry test today on atomic structure! Super easy, so I’m shooting for a 100!

Then, tomorrow is the dreaded AP Calculus test. We’ve never tested in there before, so I have no idea how the layout of her tests are, in comparison to other tests. Tests are 70% of my grade, so I have to make a 99 or 100 :((
It should be relatively easy considering it is testing limits and continuity.

22 of 64 people passed the AP Bio test, with 4 As.

I got an 85 yeet

Chemistry presentation tomorrow.
I’ve gotta turn in this huge technical report, too 0.o

then we have a test right afterwards p.p

such a cool class

on another note, I made a few dumb, non-calculus-related mistakes on my calc test 0.o
admittedly I was in tough straits health-wise and missed out on review, so I guess it’s okay >.>
I got a low A in spite of them, so I’m happy. Just gonna get better, really study, do better next time.

Limits and continuity seem like they were so long ago for me @IrrationalPepsi. Sigh, memories

Nice, @literallyliteral!

We had this quiz in AP World, and it was MC, so it should have been easy, but it was ridiculously hard. Half the class failed it, even one of the smartest people, who got a D. This class is going to be a LOT of work :frowning:

Ayy, where are y’all now, then? @Mathophile26
Already knee-deep in differentiation?

Yup, we got up to implicit differentiation and related rates and now we’re learning about how to find minima and maxima and First/Second Derivative Tests. Plus a bunch of theorems that I’m having a hard time keeping track of. It’s exciting stuff  I love learning so much about math that can be applied to the real world.

To give myself more motivation to wake up, I changed my alarm from one of those ringtones to a screamo song. Worked very well. I think I set Olympic speed records. 10/10.

We’re having a debate/discussion in my English class, and I wanted to know what you guys thought.

“At what point is yelling considered verbal abuse?”

My team and I said as soon as the “victim’s” feelings get hurt.

Thoughts?

Yup, I agree. As soon as someone is offended by yelling, it should be considered “verbal abuse.” What kind of situation is this yelling happening in, though?

reading the epic of gilgamesh in english leaving me like O.O

@Mathophile26 That’s the thing, it isn’t specified. What I gave in quotes was our only prompt. We were assuming it would be yelling between two people in a close relationship, like father to son, friend to friend, boyfriend to girlfriend, etc.

Just want to let you guys know I’m shanemg.11. I had my username changed.

Oh I see @Shanban1607. The openendedness (is that even a word? ) is interesting. I considered parents to children, best friends, etc. but I also considered things such as a stranger yelling at you in an argument or something (although now that I think about it, that isn’t a very likely situation).

omg :DDDD i just ran a 16:33 3-mile in today’s race! so so happy. beat a few people i’ve wanted to beat too

Made a 110 on my AP Calc test! Some made as low as a 57!

I got a 96.67 on my chem test because I didn’t read a question correctly. However, with the bonus, my test average remained unchanged (about a 102) and my grade is still a 99.41.

We’re building a cell membrane out of candy in Bio today!

I made a 92 on my chem quiz. I mean it’s not bad considering I didn’t even realize there was a quiz that day but it’s not the best.

Also, we had an APUSH quiz on Monday and I scored a 64. The lowest was a 42 and the highest was an 88.

It was absolutely soul-crushing.

@literallyliteral Are you thinking about applying to college as an athletic recruit? You seem really talented.
