Guys, I made finals! (Probably) got 5th (out of 5, but at least two of those girls are sponsored) for the Women’s. I finally sent a problem on my ~30th attempt. Talked to a setter, she said it’s probably a V5.
I also won a shirt, a frisbee, and some chalk in the raffle.

It’s been wayyyyyy too long (and totally my fault). It’s been exactly 10 months since I was last on :-O.
But I am back for good and I have spent the last 45 minutes reading through the posts (starting from page 300) and catching up on what’s been going on in your lives.

@OMPursuit I’m going to be taking the SAT II Math in January and I might take the SAT as well.

I’ve started studying for the Math II m’self and it’s been okay :0
I got a 630 on the diagnostic with Barron’s, but heeey, it’s Barron’s! Time to learn matrices/review conics/complex numbers.
Calculus is making the maxima/minima stuff a bit easier, tho.
I do not envy the task of pouring over class o’ 2019 archives o~0
Hey @IAmNotCreativ long time no see
I’m so close to being done with my bio project. I have maybe 1.5 slides left.
My schedule this year:
AP Calc BC (I made the regrettable decision to skip Calc AB, the classes are taught in sequence at my school so I’ve had to learn a lot of material at home and I feel like crying sometimes when the kids in my class say “we’re moving so fast, we spent weeks on this last year”)
AP Government/NSL (this is so much easier than APUSH)
H Physics (this was easier in the begging of the year because I new all of the material from previous engineering classes, but about 2 weeks ago, my class started new material and that’s when I realized that my teacher can’t teach. Now I have to learn this at home too. Do you guys have any suggestions for good programs for this (Khan Academy?))
H English (in past years I have struggled in English because I never turned in assignments, but this year I have an awesome teacher and the material is actually interesting so I’ve been doing really well.)
H Spanish 3 (I’m one of my teachers’ favorites and I’m doing well in class even though I have no idea what I’m doing half the time)
Digital Electronics (3rd year engineering course in PLTW, unlike all of my past engineering teachers, my current one never interacts with the students and I hate this. Half the fun of engineering is forming a relationship with the teacher. I’m also the only girl in the class, the sexual jokes have gotten old)
H Health/Yoga (my best friend is also in this class and the teacher hates us because we constantly correct her)
@OMPursuit I haven’t started studying yet, I have the Barron’s review book, but I’m probably going to do most of my studying over winter break. From what I have read, the Barron’s book is much harder than the actual exam so you’ll probably do really well.
I wish I had a crush bc then I could actually have something to look forward to at school
