Same with classes. My new school operates under the trimester calendar though, and first and last semester of IB doesn’t show up on your transcript so I’m glad my 6s don’t show up…yet!
Anyone have tips on how to improve in-class participation and/or getting your teacher to like you? I have a few classes this year where I’m bordering on that 7—could use a few sympathy points so if I’m in a teacher’s good graces it might be the difference b/n a 6 and 7.
PSAT scores out tom for the Western half of the US!
I used a VPN to access my scores early, and I received a 1470 (750M and 720RW). That’s up 40 from last year (680RW & 750M).
How do you access scores early? ^
@TN034154 if you download a VPN (look it up in your App Store) you can set your wifi as if you are in another state that has their scores released, and you will then have access to yours. Btw great job on your score @IrrationalPepsi ! I got a 1230 on mine, but it is a 100 point improvement from last year without even studying, so I can’t say I’m exactly disappointed.
I got a 1480!!! 140 points up from last year. 221 index, which is just short of last year’s 222 for CA… Ugh.

I wish that I had prepped, but the month of September and October were horrible months for me. My SI is 219, which is right on the line for NC, so fingers crossed! Haha
My SI is 217, which is probably good for NM (last year’s cutoff was 215).
Finished finals today! I have A’s in physics & lab (grades already reported). Should have A’s in French and probability (unless I got less than 50% and 65%, respectively, on their finals without realizing it). Anywhere from B- to A+ in regression (the final was the hardest exam I’ve taken, so it depends on the curve).
Got a SI of 224, which makes it past the predicted NY cutoff thankfully. Only issue is that it doesn’t really matter as I’m applying to college right now, lol.
@WCEdmonds So am I, but you can still get the $2500 award if you follow the procedures. Won’t help you with scholarships for next year, though (although you might be able to convince a college that gives NMF scholarships to give you one for the following year).

I got my grade up to an A in AP Bio!! That was one of my most-likely-to-get-a-B classes but a test I did really well on gave me a huge boost. Still have a B in pre-calc though but if I focus I should be able to get that one up.

i transferred out of my old school freshmen year into a new one cause i did pretty terribly freshmen year, but i took all honors and one AP as a freshmen. when i transferred, my school offered NONE OF THOSE IN HONORS/AP, so every single one is written as reg class. my unweighted total gpa is 3.47 (YIKES) but its supposed to be a 3.76 if the classes were written as honors/AP instead of reg. it looked seriously disgusting after freshmen year cause it looked like I got C+s in reg classes (I got C+s in AP classes, mostly cause i was a dumbass freshmen and didnt know how to study.) I took full honors/two APs sophomore year and got all As cause i learned how to study, but my gpa is still low after 9-10.
like freshmen year first semester i got a B+ in APW, but now its marked as a B+ in reg world history sadlife
i think i have to submit my freshmen transcript alongside my normal transcript and explain the drop, but im still pretty saddened by it. im also at an 89.99 in my APChem class rn and im dying on the inside

Ahh a ton of my senior friends are finding out about acceptances, and as much as I want to be in the moment and enjoying junior year, I just want this year to end so I can find out where I am going!!! It is crazy that a year from now, we could theoretically know where we got in!
question, how many of you guys have finals before winter break and how many have it after? i have it after (like late-jan) but i also have friends taking it next week, so idk
