Hey everyone, PSAT cutoffs just released!! When are we notified if we’ve made it? I calculated my score to be 225, and California has a cutoff of either 223 or 224, so I qualify, but when will I be notified?
YES, I QUALIFIED!!! I didn’t score nearly as well as some of my friends, so I’m really really stoked that I squeaked in.
(Ditto on the notifications…)
…And another website says I don’t. Where are the official cutoffs???
@awesomepolyglot Same situation here! one site says illinois was 2016 - meaning YAY!! I GOT IN - and another says <=222 meaning I didn’t 
I moved last week and am really scared I will miss the letter - do you think they will email us?
From what I remember from last year, I feel like the principal is supposed to notify? unsure tho
I think it comes through the administration at your high school (officially) but there is a thread on CC that lists all of the cutoffs

I don’t plan on applying to any, with the reason being that I would rather go my local community college and then transfer to one of the above schools than settle for the remaining UCs (Santa Cruz, Riverside, Merced).
Taking AP Comp Sci Principles (I know…), AP Physics C, AP Calc BC, AP Stats, AP Psychology, Honors English…have to try to manage these all with college apps, and a crazy FRC robotics season. Any tips???
I missed everyone talking about PSAT/National Merit stuff but I got notified in a group meeting by my school administration (principal + guidance counselors) with everyone who qualified as a semifinalist, and my principal said she got the results on Tuesday). Semifinalists will be officially announced on the 12th though
I did /not/ qualify for National Merit—at this rate I’ll probably be lucky to get commended—but I got my SAT score yesterday, and my superscore went up to 1600!

I was here freshman year and part of sophomore, then I skrt skrrrted away. Senior year has pushed me to insanity and thus back to this website
YouTube isn’t blocked on my school’s wifi, but the YouTube player on Khan Academy is… :-w So now I can watch vines but not macro videos.
And they blocked GroupMe, so clubs are a mess… ugh.
I got my September 8th ACT score last week and got my goal of a 34!! I’m so happy you don’t even understand. Today I got my writing score and it still hasn’t budged but I’m okay with that. I’ve been putting off applying for colleges so I should probably get on that soon or I’ll forget to do it in time lol
