@Ooh, pretty nice! Good luck in Geometry Honors. It is pretty hard, but I think you’ll be fine because you seem to be taking other challenging courses.

@c20s20h That’s pretty cool!

I hope everyone has fun in their tenth grade year!

Have a good day!

Good luck to everyone for a great year ahead in tenth grade.
For us, school starts from tomorrow. Excited about Calculus AB and Physics AP courses. Slightly worried too :slight_smile: as I am attempting 4 AP’s this year…hope all goes well.

How do you guys take calc as sophomores, I’m only taking precalculus as a sophomore, my school is pretty strict about classes so they wouldn’t let me self study precalc over the summer

Btw did any of you guys take the August sat subject tests

@Microsoft_Ninja No I didn’t take it August I took it in June!

Hopefully AP Computer Science is not that bad. No I havent taken any SAT Subject Tests.

I took calc as a freshman, all I did was talk to my GC about it. @Mahindra I’m taking AP Comp Sci as well I’ve heard it’s easy however.

@Foreboding Dang! You guys are like the 1% I swear! I have heard that AP Comp Sci is easy but when I heard how the test is going to be I literally laughed. They make you guys write down all the lines of code on paper. I dunno about you guys but I found that to be really weird.

@onlyworthypotato @Foreboding My class is actually online with a textbook and no actual classes. So it might be more difficult?

Wow, you guys are so smart! I feel like in the bottom percent with y’all. Anyhow, are any of you guys taking subject tests this year? I took Bio last year, and I feel like I wanna take it in the winter, just for rereviewing the content and also I am taking the Chem subject test potentially in the spring.

@thehhs12 I took bio in June and got a 760! I’m definitely going to be taking the PSAT in October and I might take the chem one in June as well if not May

I plan to take the chem test in early June, but I’ll have to do extra studying because my school doesn’t have AP Chem, only Honors Chem.

@collegeready33 Same but I already had to do that for bio one I’m sure I can pull it off again with 3 weeks study which is what I did first time around. Our school doesn’t let you take any APs other than Geo and Euro in sophomore year, you have to wait till junior year

My school only lets you take AP Euro in sophomore year and no APs freshman year, so I feel really behind compared to a lot of you!

I’m not planning on taking any subject tests until probably senior year (Math II and Physics). How has the beginning of the school year been going for you guys other than that?

@cherryturtle Your not behind! I only took 1 ap as a freshman and that was AP HUG. That class is not even important to my field. This year, I am taking AP Computer Science so I am taking only one just like you. I feel behind because all my friends who go to better schools get like 6 hours of homework and here I am doing about 40 minutes of work at home.

@cherryturtle That’s the exact same as me!!! It sucks to not be allowed a higher level of courses :frowning:

@Mahindra My school is the best in my city, but really doesn’t compare to nearby cities! I know admissions officers look at how competitive your school is and what courses are offered, but in terms of academic preparation my school seems to be lacking!

@onlyworthypotato Yeah, it really does! I’m also “only” in Algebra 2, and it seems a lot of people are in precalculus or even more advanced classes than that in 10th grade!

@cherryturtle wow
