I need advice in scheduling my classes for next year, senior year. I am a NOVA kid with a fairly strong application but no shoe in for entrance to UVA into sciences.

I scored 680 on my math 2 subject test recently, however math doesn’t come real easy for me and I want to ease my load a bit next year. I have a decent senior course load with 3 ap’s and will graduate with 6 ap’s. ACT=33 SAT = 2050 GPA = 4.00

Here is my question. I would like to exchange Calc BC and Leadership (my fun class) and replace them with Calc AB and Human Anatomy.

All other things being equal, is this a fair swap? would it look bad to take Calc AB if I am trying to get into a competative school?

Schools let you take Calc BC before AB these days?

When I was a senior (like 4-5 years ago) we had to do AB first as BC was built on many principles covered in the first course. But then again, I’m surprised by the sheer quantity of AP courses now offered. It’s like a contest for schools to prove their worth by adding more and more AP courses…

(Gosh, I sound like an old fart who says he used to have to walk to school, both ways, in knee-deep snow!)

But no, I don’t think it will hurt you, and depending on what science program you may want to go into, a human anatomy class may be more appropriate.
