Recently, I have found more and more Int students talking about how diffisult it is after finishing study and begining to work. Obviously, there are much more international students pursue Master or PHD than BS. But how do you feel about the deffernce between these three degree when you pursue a job or intern during OPT period. Which one from your point is more competive for after graduation’s opportunity ??

An advanced degree (from a US university!) is beneficial in two ways:
- You can bypass the H-1B limit that applicants with an undergraduate only are facing.
- You probably possess some knowledge or skills that fewer American workers have. It is quite a bit of work for a company to sponsor a foreigner for a work visa, and there is little incentive to do so when there is an American applicant who is qualified for the same job. The more specialized and rare your skill set is, the better your chances that some company would go through a lot of trouble to sponsor you for a visa.
