Trump doesn’t need to have a dead tribble on his head to be memorable.
His hair thing is about him turning lemons into lemonade.
As awful as Trump’s hair is, I think he’d look worse if he were bald.
I agree, eyemamom, that presidents should be younger. I read once that older people are more reluctant to vote for a 60- or 70-something presidential candidate than younger people are, because older people understand the mental and physical changes that come with age.
But not always. And it’s an important ‘but.’
I’ve worked with brilliant, effective young 'uns, but I’m looking for the relevant experiences and skills in a president.

I occasionally see a Broadway show, and am always tired the next day from staying up late. I’m amazed that Cicely Tyson, who is 90 (91 in December) is starring in The Gin Game! I can’t imagine having the energy.
Some of their ages on Election Day: Sanders 75, Trump 70, Clinton 69, Carson 65, Bush 63, Christie 54, and Rubio 45. There are still over 370 days left to go. I guess the winner can take lots of naps until Inaugural Day.
I do admire Hillary’s stamina – but Bernie Sanders’ even more. He’s not a spring chicken, and he’s spent most of his life in academia – much less physically demanding than what he’s doing now. Considering how the presidency dramatically ages everyone, Bernie’s age – or the age of anyone running for president – is a concern to me.
I also agree that Hillary has been looking terrific lately: excellent haircuts/styles and excellent make up. Yea, it’s a bummer that all people in the public eye (women especially) are scrutinized that way, but it’s part of the package they have to realistically deal with.
Women live longer than men. So for me, a 68 year old woman is a bit less of a concern than a 68 year old man; I’d think of her as comparable to a 64 year old man.
All things being equal, I’d prefer someone in their 50s, but age is hardly the only issue I consider.

I think she looks great in those emerald green jackets that she’s been wearing. I much prefer them to that canary yellow number that she had the last time around.
I just did some googling and discovered that she’s had a multitude of yellow suits. Looking at a few pictures I decided that it’s the soft rounded neck line that I like. It’s just a way better look for her IMO. She is doing a lot of those necklines now or even things with a mock cowl rather than a v neck with a busy collar.
Nina McLemore designs a lot of the suits Hillary wears:

Take a look at the suit jackets. Those jackets are for women who don’t want to show a lot of skin, including the skin on their neck. They’re serious and businesslike. Gorgeous fabrics.
I’m not crazy about that keyhole neck line with stand-up collar look. It’s too ‘StarTrek’ for my taste.
I think both Hillary and Trump are extroverts, and receive energy from interacting and being with people. They are also “fighters” and have great confidence in themselves, rightly or wrongly. They also seem to embrace challenges that would overwhelm most of us.
As far as age, I don’t think the number itself, matters. The person needs to have a suitable temperament and stamina for the job, and experience doesn’t hurt either, which generally comes with age.
One of my old high school friends sells Nina McLemore clothes, in Alexandria. She has a lot of important Washington, DC women as clients, but apparently Hillary shops mostly in the NY area.
Looks to me like Nina McLemore is a good choice for the power woman who wants to look appropriate, but who doesn’t care much about fashion.
Well, they’re not “fashion-y,” but they are conservative, professional and appropriate. I know Janet Yellen wears those clothes. Check out some photos of her. https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&site=imghp&tbm=isch&source=hp&biw=1242&bih=585&q=janet+yellen&oq=janet+yellen&gs_l=img.3…0l10.1916.3610.0.3924.12.8.0.4.4.0.302.1126.0j2j2j1.5.0…0…1ac.1.64.img…4.8.919.qe1ePCiwS-M
Exactly. Yellen needs to wear professional attire, but (judging by those pictures) she is not interested in making fashion statements. And she looks fine. I don’t recall Ben Bernanke or Alan Greenspan as being fashion forward either.
I’m surprised I like the McLemore look on the link. It’s “classy with flair” and could be dressed up with the right jewelry but, as is, conveys success and authority. And looky, looky at the prices- surprisingly reasonable for a wealthy, powerful woman. Oh, yeah, I bet you that’s intentional. A wardrobe of $2500 suits would be wrong for a female candidate.
I am having a tough time with the McLemore line. It all looks like Talbot’s to me which I really don’t like. Probably better quality though.
