Why does not my referee get an invitation although i have saved her email id and other details in HKUST online application? Is it because I have not paid the application fee yet? Please answer ASAP. Thank You!!

you should first make the payment and then only you can submit your application
email is sent to refree only after you have successfully submitted your application(including payment)

any offers from the Law Faculty?

Hey guys, I assume that at least a few people in this thread have been to / are at HKU, so I have a few questions - thanks in advance.

I’ll be applying to HKU for a semester exchange starting in August 2012 (1st semester HKU). I’ll be spending one semester there.

Anyways, a few questions:

1) what hall(s) are recommended for exchange students? Bear in mind that it would probably be good to have a few other Westerners around
2) is it recommended that you go to a hall with compulsory meals?
3) is it best to share a room in one of the halls? This isn’t common at my university, so I’m not really sure about it.

Still under consideration for me.

@tomandjerry did u have an interview for hkust before acceptance?

I got an e-mail from HKUST today regarding my interview for school of science program.Can someone tell me what are some questions that I can expect in the interview? I am surprised by their e-mail because it has been around 9 days that I submitted my application and they are asking an interview so fast.

If anyone has an idea of when LLB offers are released I would be overjoyed

@imtitanium look i think hkust want to admit all students they want as soon as possible… because they don’t want to get us anyother college invitation letter… so they are doing it so fast… after selecting you they will ask you to deposit deadline 2 weeks… so once you deposit the fees you are bounded to them hehehe i think…

tomandjerry ur certainly gonna make it to NTU and NUS with scholarship ,good aieee and jee scores n ur in

I today got an offer from HKU for Government and Laws;
the conditions are quite high-- they want me to get 38 out of 42(excluding bonus points), with at least a 6 in each subject. The conditions are freakin’ high. 38 without the bonus points ;( Idk if I will be able to fulfill… And I take 4 HLs.

I have been already admitted to NTU. So, which one do you guys think is better-HKUST or NTU for Physics?

@qorlfla

Yay!! congrats!!! I am really hoping to get into the LLB

I got a 40/45 or 38/42 for my IB diploma and at least a 6 in all subjects so I am desperately hoping there is some chance.

When did you apply? Is it a main round offer?

Iamtitanium@ hkust is much greater than ntu. …so always prefer hkust over ntu because it is fastest growing university…

@Tomandjerry:Could you please enlighten me what questions did they ask you in the the interview (if you took the one)?
