I got GPA 3.6,it’s not very good?I think i will apply for scholarship as well.In my interesting program IBGM at HKU has only 8 places for international student ,its very compettive ;((

Is there anyone still waiting for the result from HKU?

Me…still waiting for BBA ;(

hang in there no rejection means still hv hope, u hv any other offer ?
just accept first :)

Does anyone know anything about the newly built Residential Colleges? I know that the rooms are slightly bigger than the regular rooms at various halls, but will there still be these dorms have a strong hall tradition?

I’m still waiting for HKU dentistry to reply:(

Does anyone know after being admitted to HKU, do I have to submit the certified copy of my high school deploma and final semester grades? Seems they don’t mention this…

@salad93 I think we are on the wait-list since all the offer for non-jupas have been granted. We pray for someone to give up the offer.

HKUST #1 in Asia again!

Last I visited was in 2009, freshly admitted. I reckoned now that I am graduating I might just as well drop by to see if this is still ongoing. And it is!

One piece of advice: listen to yourself. Try to find what you love to do and see if the programme helps you achieve that. Take rankings with a grain of salt. HKUST seems impressive with her ranking, let alone the seaview student halls, seaside outdoor and indoor swimming pools and a track. I am often complimented when someone ask me where I am reading.

However, as someone who has lived and studied here for three years now, my experience and those of my friends at HKUST have been less than wonderful. Of course, these are opinions. Again, a grain of salt…a comment. What is paramount is that you make an informed decision.

So, if you have any questions, ask away. Qualifications for admission, academics, student life, housing, cost of living, career prospects et cetera… Probably, you may be more concerned with admission at this point, though. I used to help the International Office about the subject qualifications, so I will try to ease your worry :-)

@hkust12, can you help elaborate on your uni life @hkust? :)

@hkust12

Could you maybe give a pro/con chart of HKUST based on your experiences?

HKUST and HKU…Which one would be a better choice if I wanted to major in something related to International Relations and Affairs OR International Business. (Also…Which one is more diverse?)

I’ll be an international student in HK if I do go to either one of the universities…So I’m wondering… How is the financial aid or scholarships like in both of these universities?

hey revealspec! so r u going hkust? xD
