HKU or HKUST

@ahtesham the admission requirements allow you to choose International OR National qualifications. Since my school is Canadian BC school it says “British Columbia
Passes in five acceptable subjects in the Senior Secondary Graduation Diploma (Grade
12 or BC Provincially Examinable Courses), provided that not less than 80% is achieved
in the final grade in each of these subjects.” under the National Qualifications for Canada (http://www.als.hku.hk/admission/file/upload/494/GAR.pdf</a>). So maybe it’s not compulsory to take A-Levels or something. Idk that’s just what i think. Correct me if I’m wrong

I don’t know if a Canadian school in China is actually considered a Canadian school though.

hey guys i am not getting interview callll till now…
does it mean that they have rejected me or i have to wait…

cant wait…@ahtesham when did u submitted your application to hku

hkuadmission,
maybe you didn’t select fast-track route… something like that… when you filled the application.

Ababio,
HKUST did tell me that applications are reviewed on enrollment basis. I submitted my application at 15th November. (Just made it in time). So maybe I have to wait a bit. Or maybe I’m ditched or maybe I’m not asked for an interview.(pretty unlikely, though). Well their interview is gonna tough anyway.
When did you submit your application?

@wila96 My mistake! You are right no need to take A Levels.
@hkuadmission Well i submitted mine on 13 November :D

@zeus i submitted my application on last day and i did applied for the fast track.
@ahtesham well i think i should have completed my application earlier.

@zeus what the last day for fast track selection.

It was 15th Nov, I guess. Not sure…

@hkuadmission It was 15th November. Don’t worry you will get a call

did anyone get an admission decision from HKUST?
(they were to release the results from 15 December 2012 onwards.)

@zeust I submitted my application on nov 14 hong kong time, but my school delayed my transcript and sent it on nov 29. Actually on nov 26, HKUST sent me a mail stating dat I should upload my transcript. On nov 6, it seems dat HKUST visited my uni website and downloaded my course prospectus and brochure, bcos I dint send it to dem, but I saw it in d document uploading section. Since nov 6 I have not heard anything. I feel dat dey myt stil get 2 us, and maybe its just a matter of time, coz I saw some guy who just got an interview date, and he told me dat he had submitted his app long time ago. I just hope I get in early coz I feel dat d earlier u get in, d higher ur chances of getting a scholarship(full and renewable).

Ababio,
Well, let’s just sit back, wait and hope for best :)

November 16, 2012 (23:59 Hong Kong Time)
Deadline for Submission of Applications (Fast Track)…

@Ahtesham zeus i submitted my applicaion on 16th…iss there a problem

November 16, 2012 (23:59 Hong Kong Time)
Deadline for Submission of Applications (Fast Track)
i checked it from there website

hkuadmission,
Well then it depends upon the time you make the submission.
I personally think that if your submission was delayed for an hour or two won’t make much of a difference. Maybe in reality it makes a difference… don’t know.
Well, one way is to email them and ask them politely whether your application is categorized as fast-track or normal application, whatsoever.
They’re probably gonna be busy, but just try emailing them and see what happens.

ok will try

@zeus i think i submitted my application on 6 pm clock pakistan time

@Hkuadmission Hey CHILLax there In my school people with distinction and who had applied on the very first day have not yet got interview calls so plz hang on and don’t worry. I am in the same boat as you.

hkuadmission,
6pm PST is before the deadline, so it’s fine. :)
