Where do people see the merit aid on their portal? We’ve been searching on the portal and can’t find the award.
@orm2022, If you log onto the portal and click on the “Financial Aid Services” It will build a list in the frame in the middle of the page. The first item here, at least on my son’s portal, is “Financial Aid Notification”. When you click on that it generates a link "
Click here to view your Financial Aid Notification for 2021 produced on 08-JAN-2020"
When you click on that it will generate a letter that includes the scholarships and grants.
Hope this helps.
Thank you @Dave_N. I don’t have “Financial Aid Notification.” I only have “Financial Aid Information.” I was admitted on 1/10 so I might have to wait a bit for the financial aid?
Hey, I applied to Hofstra rolling. I got accepted with a 26K presidential. I’m international with very high stats, great extracurriculars, top 1 percent of my class, and am on a gap year. I was expecting the full tuition trustee scholarship. Did I not get this scholarship because I’m international. For reference, I’m applying to a lot of other colleges and Hofstra is one of my safeties. I got a full-ride at one of my safeties already and deferred from my top choice in December. Did this happen to anyone else who was expecting a trustee
Is this a good school? I got in awhile ago but I’m from California and idk
I guess I underestimated how expensive this school was or didn’t get a great package, or both. I got the Dean’s Scholarship (16k per year) along with the pell grant, federal work study, and some other aid that ended up being around $24k a year making my tuition $42.5k a year without loans, which is much higher than the average yearly price on Google. Funny how I got much better aid from the better schools I applied to. Tbh I regret applying, this school was such a waste of an application slot.
