Hogwarts '18 Decisions Thread

I’m a pure-blood legacy who was rejected too :(

This is the best thread that has ever been made. When I was 11, my parents made me a Hogwarts Acceptance letter and hung it from an owl ornament over my bed so I would wake up to it on my 11th birthday. It was great.

So, accepted!

Accepted, full blood w/ legacy (Slytherin)

Can’t stand these URM mudbloods.

Decision: rejected :frowning:
stats: 2.4 GPA in 4th + 5th grade
ECs: Little League baseball age 6-11, pitcher 10-11
Muggle/half-blood/pure-blood: muggle
How you first realized you’re a wizard/witch: I’m not.
additional thoughts: nooooooooooooo

^Well that’s the problem. You didn’t have any extracurriculars in potions. You practically NEED that these days.

stats: 3.7 GPA w/ course at London School of Wizard Affairs
ECs:Seeker for Wombat school for little wizards and witches, Leader of coalition to prevent harrassment against Muggles, Spells champion young Wizards division 2007-2011, Young Potions Masters Award given by HARRY POTTER HIMSELF!
Muggle/half-blood/pure-blood:Pure-Blood w/ a little Giant
How you first realized you’re a wizard/witch:I was sweeping my grandmother’s room and fell onto the broom and levitated. She came and gave me my grandfather’s wand and said “You are ready”.
additional thoughts: My mom and all of my aunts and uncles were in Gryffindor. My grandmothers were in Hufflepuff; grandfather in Ravenclaw. But I fear that I will be put in Slytherin given my father’s blood purity stance and his hex on the sorting hat. He was one of the Death Eaters under Bellatrix Lestrange (my departed godmother!)Fortunately, he’s in Azkahban for using the Killing Curse during the Second War. I can’t wait to start!

Wow! I can’t believe that I sat here and made up a character. Talk about loving Harry Potter right!

You’re all on CRACK.

Accepted.

I was recruited for Quidditch.

MIT also offered me a full ride to play on their Quidditch team, but Hogwarts has a very solid program in Quidditch.

Rejected.

half-blood with 4.0 GPA. perfect OWLs, all Os (took them early)

f***ing quidditch recruits, mudblood AA, and pure blood legacies, taking away all the spots from hardworking half-bloods. its not my fault im overrepresented!

are you um… a squib? i thought the admissions criteria was “you are either magical or you are not”

Who cares about Hogwarts. I got into the Magical Institute of Technology (MIT). Only problem is half-bloods and pure -bloods are overrepresented. But atleast there’s not many muggle borns (yuck).

^
Well, its still part of HYPSM.
But hogwarts is still ranked #1 overall.

Anyways, My parents are either gonna buy me a firebolt or a nimbus. I mean, I’ve been using nimbus’s all my life but I think the firebolt might be more fun to use. However im also worried about a broomstick refresh though before I go off to hogwarts. What Should I do?

Eh, Magical institutes are overrated

Look at the famous Drop outs

Hagrid
Voldemort
Harry Potter
Hermione Granger
Ron Weasley

^Well yea you can say that. But that’s a very tiny portion of people. They were just lucky.

I also hate how expensive it is. I mean, like tuition alone is like 3000 galleons.

Out of context: Oh. my. gosh. I love this thread. This is definitely helping with my HP withdrawal…I also cried. At this point, the question isn’t whether you did, it’s WHO DIDN’T CRY.
