Hogwarts University is now taking applications for first years!

Hogwarts University, where students go after attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, is now accepting applications for the Class of 2014. Although it is already March and normal colleges are sending out their decisions shortly, keep in mind we have magic wands and potions, thus expediting the evaluation process. We do not accept the Common Application, nor do we accept SAT, ACT, SAT II, or AP tests. What we do look for are O.W.L. scores and N.E.W.T. scores; N.E.W.T. scores are not required, but we recommend that you take them and send in your scores. We also ask for extracurricular activities; please do not list “drinking butterbeer” on your resume. Furthermore, we look for students with strong academics, so also send in a list of your classes for all 7 years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and their respective grades (0-100 scale, unless you’re Hermione Granger and earn 320% in Muggle Studies) We also require a personal statement, not to be very long, explaining why you should be granted entrance to our fabulous institution. The acceptance rate for the Class of 2013 was 9 3/4%, and many of our graduates have gone on to become aurors, professors, death eaters, hive mothers, and other magical professions.

To summarize:
[ul][]O.W.L. scores and N.E.W.T. scores []Extracurricular activities []Classes for 7 years and grades []Short Personal Statement (keep it short people)[/ul]

Best of luck,

um…what?

I’m role playing here… unless you wanna be the buzzkill.

Is there a parchment-length guideline for the personal statement?

I get it, but a role play only works if it’s done well enough; this isn’t (sorry).

OR if someone reading it is an unimaginative, weak minded idiot (not sorry, you’re worthless).

The personal statement must be at least 18 inches, written with an Anti-Cheating quill.

Heehee… 9 3/4%.

could u imagine if a new school named Hogwarts University opened up? that would be awesome, lol.

Dunbar, I’m sorry if your muggle brain doesn’t have the capacity to admire what Hogwarts University has to offer.

Anyways, I’m grateful for all the publicity my institution is getting, but it would be rather nice if you could send in your applications in a timely manner. So get your parchment and quills and post your applications here! Decisions will be announced shortly, young wizards and witches.

And as for parchment length, we prefer 8" x 11" but you shouldn’t use the entire sheet. We prefer a couple of paragraphs.

Bazzinga? :)

hahahaha this is great

when is the application deadline? is it too late to submit an app right now if you’re a senior already? (I mean, I can certainly apply for a Timer Turner to go back and finish an app but that takes too much effort.) If I never took the N.E.W.T, can you accept my O.W.L grades instead? I had all Ps and one D, is that okay for Hogwarts U?

Does your House matter? I heard Hufflepuffs get in a lot cause of URM and stuff… Also, it’s REALLY competitive for Ravenclaws I heard.

(Oh, can I post my app on the thread? PLEASE? :()

Hermoine Granger went to Brown to associate with the Muggles

I’m already in ED. good luck guys ^^

I’m an international applicant. Would I be able to receive college credits for my AP defense against the dark arts course?

(Yes, I actually want you guys to post your applications online)

No one wants to experience the magical wizardry that Hogwarts University has to offer?! Shame…

I’m in the process of filling my application out. How is the FA at Hogwarts U?
