Home furnishings

I don’t know if we have something similar but I couldn’t find it.
What are your favorite sources for online furnishings. I need to assist with furnishing a short term rental for a client. Where do you find large rugs? I thought Home Goods, Costco places to look in person. I think I’ll need a very large rug for the main living space. What about sofas?

Wayfair is our go to.

My kids both used rugs.com and got great rugs for their living rooms.

We furnished most of our cabin between Amazon and Wayfair. Durables like bed platforms and sofa from Poverty Barn and Ballard Designs.

I’ve purchased rugs from Overstock.com, thecompanystore.com, and just this week, lowes.com (inexpensive). I’ve never purchased sofas online.

I have shopped for a lot of area rugs and tend to use Home Goods, Wayfair, Rugs.com and Amazon.

But the real key is when I find one I like I then Google image search or directly search for the same rug on the above websites. Many times a rig will be on multiple sites but at different prices and sometimes even with a different name!

I keep wishlists on Amazon and Wayfair for rugs and other categories.

I bought my daughter a couch from Wayfair and I have bought a beautiful MCM bed frame and a couple leather swivel chairs from Wayfair. Easy and pretty quick to ship - free shipping!

For rugs, believe it or not, Home Depot! Lots of rugs online to choose from. My family room rug and the rug under my kitchen table are both from HD (free shipping for me plus we get a 15% discount b/c my husband is a veteran).

All of these are local to me stores where we’ve shopped. I like to meet my furniture in person.

My kids have had good luck with Crate & Barrel and Room and Board.

I’m a huge fan of Revival rugs. They have one of a kind, vintage rugs at fairly reasonable prices.

Also like Crate and Barrel, Room and Board. West Elm is good too.

what about Facebook market place? My kids have sold some of our very nice furniture on it. Sometimes people are just practically giving stuff away.

I agree that Revival is a good source of some awesome vintage rugs of all shapes and sizes.

Like most CC product threads, it would be good to know what kind of budget someone has for a rug purchase.

You can spend $300 on an 8 x 10 or you can spend $3000!

Or even $30,000!

A friend has an insurance rider on theirs because they are very nice and very expensive

Lol clearly I’m not in the league to even know about $30k rugs!! :joy:

Thanks for the suggestion! I have a rug under the dining table that I’ve long wanted to replace and found what looks like a nice one on rugs.com

We just got a rug from Costco online. It’s almost 9x13 and was $450. The one I picked is very traditional in style but they have some more contemporary styles.
