Homeland? Still worth watching? And the Affair...

No spoilers which is why I am
Starting another Homeland thread. I don’t want to take a chance and read what is happening.

I have watched 4 or 5 episodes of Homeland. I am not enjoying the season. Without giving anything away, is Homeland still worth watching?

I have started watching the Affair. I enjoyed the first two episodes and I do want to watch more. I think the show is great so far.

Thinking about microbinging on The Affair to catch up since Boardwalk Empire has left the building.
Yes, stick with Homeland.
Misery loves company.

I like the Affair. I enjoy the way it is filmed. First his side of events, then hers. I think we just worked out what is going on. Being vague so no spoilers!

I’ve watched all the episodes to date of The Affair, and if it weren’t for the mystery aspect, I’d be gone. I find the monumental selfishness of the two protagonists to be repellent and, particularly in the case of Noah, they aren’t interesting enough characters to offset that. Nucky Thompson on Boardwalk Empire was a horrible man, but also endlessly fascinating. These folks, not so much. The fact that Showtime ordered a second season suggests the mystery won’t be solved anytime soon and the affair itself is going to drag on and on, so I don’t know how long I’ll be sticking around to watch them make goo goo eyes at each other and wreck their respective families. I just don’t think there’s enough story in The Affair to sustain hour after hour of exposition. Dragging in Alison’s quirky sister-in-law and wacky mother for an episode or having Helen’s father twirl his mustache periodically just doesn’t do it.

I’m hanging in there with Homeland, but I bailed on The Affair after a couple of episodes. I couldn’t stomach the lead male character. Blech.

Good episode, moved the story line along.
Mandy P was profiled on 60 minutes.
