Yes, the actual answer is what pretty much everyone here is saying: You cannot successfully learn what you want to learn without actually doing the labs (and thus actually taking the course).
Just because the answer is not what you want it to be does not make it wrong, or in any other way non-actual.
You care too much about grades. Wouldn’t you rather learn chemistry? Many people who don’t take Honors Chem in school as an ACTUAL CLASS fail AP Chem and don’t learn anything. You need to take Honors Chem.
I’m not sure what the point of this thread is. We can’t know if you can get an 83% or higher on the midterm and final without taking the class, but I will say that if you can only get an 83 in basic chemistry, you probably shouldn’t sigh up for AP. Your general attitude doesn’t inspire optimism. Why haven’t you simply obtained the textbook used at your school–it’s the one your classmates will have used.
