… I am curious as to how the honors college works… are your core required classes the only honors courses you take? are you allowed to do any major or does it limit you in any way?

…and… how is the film studies program? i’ve never heard anything about it… but it’s something i’m interested in, and i know they have it… is anyone in it? or has anyolne heard anything about it?

You can do any major.

Here’s info about the types of honors courses there are, and their requirements, it will explain it better than I can:

and sorry, I don’t anything about film studies.

when D attended ASU (graduated May05) she was in the Honors College as was her boyfriend who wanted to be a film studies major…but unfortnately it didnt get funding,or some other political stuff…it remained as a minor.Perhaps things have changed since then but you would want to look into it carefully. You can major in any subject and take a core of Honors classes (the Human Event) and then can take other Honors classes, Hinors sections of regular offerings or you can “honorize” regular classes by contracting with the professor to do extra work (called a footnote 18).Its spelled out pretty well in the Barrett’s material.
