Honors College - Fine Arts vs. Regular

<p>My DD is considering UB for Dance/Exercise Science. As I was looking at the dance program website, I noticed that the honors criteria is lower for performing arts students than it shows on the regular Honors College page.<br>
For Performing Arts - minimum for HC is 90 gpa, 1230 SAT or 28 ACT.<br>
Regular Honors College shows minimum of 93 gpa, 1300 SAT or 29 ACT.</p>

<p>I am just curious as to why this would be, as I consistantly see research that says students involved in the arts are usually higher achieving than those that are not.</p>

<p>Perhaps the Performing Arts web page is out of date? In either case, call the Honors College they’re quite helpful.</p>
