Honors College

Hi, I want to ask a simple question. Before I even started my first semester at Radford University, I worked hard to join their Honors College, but on the 11th of July this year, they just kicked me out without a reason, I want to know why they did that. What did I do? My GPA is a 3.75. I will have 31 credits before I even start, I am a First-Generation Student that is in Foster Care. From what I research people from Foster Care, 1 in 300 go to college, so I am somewhat unique. I won some rewards. I don’t know what they want from me.

Your best bet is to call them directly.

Agree, you need to contact the college directly.

But congrats on your accomplishments.

Call them TODAY and state your GPA, AP/DE, etc. It’s quite possibly an administrative mistake.

Did the communication from Radford that you were no longer in honors provide a reason you were no longer in honors? You need to live in Floyd to be in honors unless you are exempt.

Honors students who join out of high school are required to live in Floyd Hall freshman year. A major component of the honors experience is living, learning, and socializing with other honors students. As such all incoming honors students are required to live in Floyd Hall freshman year (many return for subsequent years as well). Varsity athletes and commuters are exempt from this requirement.”
