I’m a sophmore in highschool and I finished quarter 1 with mostly A’s, an A- in french 3 and a B In honors pre-calc. The problem is I’ve always been good at math and these are not the expectations I’ve had for myself coming into the year. I took honors as I was thinking of doing AP Calc AB next year. But now im really questioning my path. I’ve always thought I’d be majoring in math and science of some sort so thats where I have been pushing myself being in honors bio and honors precalc. Quarter 2 I have a 79 and I am really starting to think everything over. My GPA was a 4.0 freshman year but now im around 3.7 which still isn’t too bad. My goal is to just maintain a B and its something I can accept. Our teacher said last unit was the hardest and the one we’re currently in is 2nd worst and he says it only gets better. But me feeling out of my comfort here im questioning AP Calc. Next year my only other AP wouod be econ and so I wont be overloaded from other classes. I know theres plenty of time left this year and 2 more years of high school but at this point im expected nothing more than a B at the moment and my mental state is the greatest. Im not expecting to get an an amazing college but I’m having my hopes in Ohio State.
I’m having the same issue in pre-cal. I’m usually good at math but geometry related math is harder. How much do you study for this class?
